Food Quality is more of a concern today than ever before.
Since fresh fruits and vegetables are not cooked, anything that is left on them after they come into contact with other things will be consumed. As these travel through the Food Supply chain, changes take place in their food structure. This includes micro-organisms in organic manure and in the water used for irrigation and initial rinsing, microbes on the hands of the people who pick the product, the containers and vehicles used to store and transport it.
Occasionally,fruits and vegetables get contaminated with harmful bacteria or viruses which are commonly called as pathogens. Contaminated fruits and vegetables if consumed can cause food borne illness. Common symptoms are nausea,vomiting,diarrhea,headache etc.

Processed foods is a booming and fast growing industry in today's fast pace of life. The fresh vs. frozen debate is of concern to many health-conscious individuals. Many prefer processed or frozen foods as they need less preparation and are often cheaper than fresh food. But it is one of the most major contributors to many of the diseases and ailments. Almost all the food products are highly processed and has additives.
The fresh foods that provide quality nutrition is replaced by food products that lower the nutritional value, increase the ratio of calories and includes preservatives, flavors, texture-enhancing agents and added colors.
The preservatives that are added to increase the shelf-life of these products may have negative impact on our health.Vitamin C is destroyed by heat and hence canned/frozen fruits have lower content of vitamin C than fresh ones. Even Juices are recommended as healthy but even they have added preservatives.
You literally are what you eat, so choose the right food. Eat healthy Food for a better living.
