Are you ready for some football?
I am involved in a loser league where you pick one team to lose every week of the NFL season. The catch is that you can't pick the same team to lose twice.
In this lens I'll be outlining who my pick for the week is and why; please keep in mind that I am not an expert in the game, but just a HUGE fan. These picks are purely my opinion based upon what I've seen and read.
Week 9 NFL Games
San Diego at Minnesota
Arizona at Tampa Bay
Green Bay at Kansas City
San Francisco at Atlanta
Carolina at Tennessee
Washington at New York Jets
Jacksonville at New Orleans
Denver at Detroit
Seattle at Cleveland
New England at Indianapolis
Houston at Oakland
Dallas at Philadelphia
Baltimore at Pittsburgh
My NFL week 9 loser - Minnesota Vikings
I have to admit that this week was a little difficult to pick. There are a lot of middle of the pack teams playing each other and I have learned from my past lessons to not pick against my favorite team The Green Bay Packers because it makes things way too emotional while watching the game and it always seems to backfire. Also, if I wanted to go out on a limb, I would pick the New England Patroits to lose against the Colts this week. However, if I was still in the league at this point, I wouldn't want to be knocked out because there is no chance to get back in because we're past the mid-point of the season. So, I wouldn't pick this game either.
My loser pick of the week is the Minnesota Vikings to lose against the San Diego Chargers this week. The Vikes continue to disappoint their fans and keep on losing, despite the fact that they have the top rusher of the league in Adrian Peterson. It appears that Tarvaris Jackson is back in the lineup to start this week, but I don't think it really matters who is behind center for this team, they just can't seem to score when it really matters.

I really wanted to avoid taking the easy way out this week by picking the New England opponent for week 8. Originally I was going to pick Miami to lose against the New York Giants, but then I opened up my page and realized that I had picked Miami to lose last week. If you recall, the rules of the league state that you can't pick the same team twice, total bummer. So, I took the easy way out anyways. This week I'm picking the Washington Redskins to lose against the New England Patriots. Washington is a decent team this year, but I really think that the only team who will give NE a run for the money will be the Indianapolis Colts.
Will New England go 16-0 this year? Probably not, chances are there will be a sleeper team to come along and knock their dreams of a undefeated season right out of the water. Watch for this to happen around week 12 or 13 when they play either Baltimore or Pittsburgh. I don't consider Pittsburgh to be a sleeper team, but they are solid and would definitely have a good chance of knocking off the Pats. Shortly after, watch for the news shots of the '72 Dolphins breaking out the champagne again.

My Loser Pick for Week 7 - Miami Dolphins
It looks like I should have entered myself back into the loser league last week, I'd be back and going strong. I just couldn't justify it though.I was struggling with which game to pick this week until New England at Miami almost jumped out and bit me in the rear. I think New England is ready to lose so it will be this week. YEAH RIGHT!!!! I bet you thought I had went off on the deep end there. I'm picking The Miami Dolphins to lose this week. The only danger with picking this game is the Patriots may go into it thinking it's a cake walk, like they may have started to last week when they let Dallas think that they had a chance to win the football game. They proved last week that their offense is so great they only need about 8 minutes to wrench control of a football game back from a very good opponent.
So, I'm picking the Miami Dolphins to lose against the Patroits.

My Week 6 Loser Pick
Last week I was knocked out of the league by the Bears and I had no way to get back in, so I was debating on whether to keep this lens updated. In all fairness, I have decided to keep things going and updating this page until the very end of the season. I might as well keep doing this for fun.I'm not going real far on a limb this week, but I am going to pick the Dallas Cowboys to lose at home against the Patriots. Dallas played a crappy game last week against the Bills and if they would have been playing a better team, they'd be 4-1 right now. I think Dallas is good, but not good enough to overcome the Patriots "Super Team" right now.

Week 5 Loser Pick - I hope you didn't listen to me
I finally did it and picked the team playing against my Green Bay Packers to lose this week. The Chicago Bears defense is beat up enough that I think Brett Favre and the Pack can pass all day against them. Who knows, maybe they'll even run for more than 60 yards too.Of course, as the weeks go on, it's becoming more difficult to pick because I can't take the same team twice. I had thought about taking Cleveland to lose against the Patriots this week, but the Browns are so unpredictable this year that I just couldn't take the risk.
Ok, I should have picked the Browns (hanging head in shame). I hope you didn't go with my advice on this one, at least I can still get back in one more time as my loss was before the 8 week mark.
My Loser pick of Week 4
This week was a little bit more difficult for me. I was tempted to pick Cincinnati to lose, but I do believe that they are good enough to possibly pull and upset off on the Patroits.Of course, there was the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers but unfortunately, I guess I'm not quite sold on the Packers being as great as I'd like them to be.
Then I saw the gem of the week: St Louis Rams at the Dallas Cowboys. I hate to say it, but Dallas is absolutely hot right now coming off of a win over the Bears and the Rams definitely are not. They were routed by the Buccaneers of all teams last week. Don't get me wrong, but Bucs are decent this year, but a 21 point loss? Come on.
Neither team has a lot of injuries, so that shouldn't affect anything. To sum it all up, my loser pick for this week is the St Louis Rams.
My loser pick for week 3 - Buffalo Bills
How can you not pick the Buffalo Bills to lose this week. They are playing New England on the road and New England is absolutely on fire right now. My only fear with picking against New England this week is that they may just be too confident, but the season is young so I don't think that should be an issue quite yet.Another great pick this week. I knew I couldn't go wrong with this game.
I was also considering picking Kansas City to lose, KC may be just awful this year, but I just didn't think Minnesota was as sure of a pick as Buffalo.
Loser League Week 2 - Atlanta Falcons
With Joey Harrington at the helm how can you not pick this team to lose this early in the season. If it was later in the season, I may possibly pick against them just because the odds are they can't go 0-16. Has that ever happened before? I think it could this year if they don't find a different starting QB.My pick of the week to lose is the Atlanta Falcons.
This game gave me quite the scare and at the half, I thought I'd be buying back in. Thank goodness Jacksonville did not let me down and came back for a victory.
Loser League Pick week 1 - New Orleans Saints
I know I'm a little late on this one, but I decided to join this league at the very last minute and after some tough scrutinizing, I picked New Orleans to lose against the Indianapolis Colts. As much as I like the Saints this year, I just didn't think they had a chance against the Colts prolific offense. It turns out that I was right, this game ended up with the Colts winning 41-10.
