I'm thinking of starting a unicode guide for a totally different language. I will try it using your method.

Using the correct unicode codes, numerical character refererences or HTML entities in preference to images has the advantage is that the text remains in text form and can be processed by software, for example it can be searched for words, or fed into an automatic language translator. If it's just an image, then such processing is usually too difficult or awkward to do, and software which processes your document will just treat it as an image and skip over it.

Great lens! Very well explained in a way that everyone can comprehend. I've never really understood what Unicode was. Amazing that it comes in Cuneiform!
