    democracy is the rule of the majority. if he is not elected by the majority, then it is not. i hope you find the peace in your part of the world.

    good you put this material together...but Lukashenko is just a dictator who will loose on the longer run...he has not a fascist...hands up

    We in the outside world thought that when the erstwhile Soviet Union broke up, all its constituents became democratic republics. Therefore it is surprising for us to learn that even after twenty years people in Belarus still live under a dictatorship with a very low liberty index. Under the circumstances we can not but admire your courage in posting this blog.

    May God Speed your efforts to your people from the yolk of tyranny!

    How sad that you had to pour all of your heart and soul into something so tragic. It is disgusting how these madmen, these demons, take the beauty of life and make it a sad depressing existance for innocent people. You have given the good people of Belarus a voice with this lens.     I didn't know this about Belarus. Of course it really isn't the last dictatorship in Europe - just the only one left that's officially one. Russia isn't much of a democracy either.

    What an amazing amount of work you've put in to this lens. My husband is of Belarussian descent, this is topic in engrossing and should be infuriating to people the world over.
