FriendFitter - Automatically grow your Twitter following

Ideally you want to have more followers than the number of people you are following , but if you use this method you are more likely to follow more people then the number of people following you.

As with most automated software you have to be careful of how you use FriendFitter. Services like Twitter are on the lookout for automated scripts so if you started following like 1000 people withing minutes this could raise some warnings.
The biggest problem with FriendFitter is that it does not automatically unfollow people who don't reciprocate you follows. Unfollowing the users who don't reciprocate your follows is important since Twitter places limits on the number of people you can follow. You can follow the first 2000 people without a problem but after that it should be 110% of your followers. So in short if you want to follow 2200 users you need to have 2000 followers. Since FriendFitter doesn't have this feature yet you might find yourself stuck with following unnecessary people. However developers are promising this feature in the near future.
There are three pricing options and the cheapest one is 64.95$. With software like Twitter Snipe out there which offer tons of more features FriendFitter might be not the best option out there to grow your Twitter followers automatically.
