Fugly is a 9-second 1961 Plymouth Belvedere that races in the Factory Experimental (FX) Class of category of drag racing called Nostalgia Super Stock (NSS). Fugly is powered by a 496ci (stroked Mopar 400) motor built by Damon Kuhn, uses a Jerico 4-speed and Boninfante Clutch, and runs the 1/4in the mid 9's . The car was built by Mark Artis and Damon (along with a host of helpers)at Texas Thunder Performance.Scheduled improvements include an alcohol injector system.

    5 stars for Fugly! Mopars are the most interesting of all the drag cars on the strips then and now.
