Justin Timberlake: FutureSexLoveSounds

Justin Timberlake is no stranger to the art of re-inventing oneself. He has gone from a young boy who, at age twelve, charmed his way into the hearts of viewers on the popular children's show The Mickey Mouse Club, to a top pop icon with his band 'N Sync in the late 90s, finally to re-emerge as a solo artist with a more sophisticated and mature sound.

In 1993 Justin, who was raised in a small town just north of Memphis, Tennessee, first debuted on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club. It was there that he shared the stage with the likes of future pop stars such as: Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and future fellow band member JC Chasez. Later in his career he would go on tour with Christina Aguilera and date Britney Spears.

Justin went on to star in the popular boy band 'N Sync with fellow band members: JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick. The group boasts four hit albums, including the latest (No Strings Attached [2002]) which made history by having the most sales during the first week of its release (a total of 2.4 million copies sold).

Justin Timberlake has been on his own since 2002 when 'N Sync decided to take some time off. From his first solo album, Justified, through to his most recent release, FutureSex/LoveSounds, Justin has once again taken the world by storm. He was nominated for five categories during the 2004 Grammy Awards and took home two awards that night for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. His current sound is much more adult and refined. He has come a long way from his pop music past, with the help of hip hop producers such as: The Neptunes, Timbaland, will.i.am., and Rick Rubin. He has also collaborated with top artists: The Black Eyed Peas, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Three 6 Mafia, and T.I.

In the midst of releasing two hit albums, Justin Timberlake has also started up his own record company, JayTee Records, in 2005. At a mere 25 years old, Justin has already shown the world that he has the will and the drive to continuously work on improving his sound and advancing his career. In the ever-changing world of popular music, Justin Timberlake's staying-power is proof that there is much more to see (and hear) of him in the future.
