I found packaging up and knowing the postage cost before listing really helps. I have done some ebay, just to clear out things, not for business, and almost always take a loss on the transaction, but glad if the items are going somewhere they can be put into use. I like your eye for older and unique dishes, what a good idea. I imagine if you got a niche group purchasing these, they would not mind paying some extra for the care in packaging and finding the items for them to enjoy.

my favorite way to show off my best goods online
I always used this site to show off my auction listings on ebay. They used to be so pretty! I miss designing my online auction listings...I hope I can get back into it soon!

This is the best forum of all time for us sellers. Everyone there is wonderful and SO helpful. Most of them still sell on ebay, but they sell on other sites too. There is a wealth of information and support there, not to mention lots of education and experience from all of it's fabulous members. I hope the Go forum looks even 1/100th as nice as this one!

GoAntiques Seller's Forum

My First Attempt at designing a forum for sellers!

For those of you looking for another alternative to ebay, This might be it!At least my instincts tell me it is! I guess we'll all have to wait and see.Meanwhile, you can list in a fixed priced format for now, until the auction site is ready. The problem is, I haven't started to list yet because I'm scared! I've never sold anywhere but ebay, so I feel like an idiot or an intruder. I was hoping to meet some other sellers so I can ask lots of dumb questions. Yeah, yeah...I know...it sounds silly, doesn't it?

I used the proboards forum because it was free and looked relatively simple to do, PLUS, it looks like the standard kind of forums we are all used to..It's meant to be somewhat social, but also instructional...for me, that is!LOL~ I need some good instructions and support to list on this site!!!
