Documenting My Experience With Global Cash Flow Network

Welcome to my Lens about Global Cash Flow Network or GCFN. What I will be talking about is my periodic experiences with GCFN. Since this is the first in what I expect to be many Lenses about the company, the materials, the people I have had contact with and my progress, I expect to have many more lenses to write about in the coming months so be on the look out. Please keep in mind that as of this writing 5/2/09, I have only been working with GCFN for about two weeks so I don't have much to elaborate on. At this point, I am still skeptical as to whether or not this is a legitimate business opportunity to be able to work at home, or just another well planned scam to take my money. I will be keeping notes for new Lenses as I gain more insight into how everything works.

I Believe Therefore I Must Buy

After Months Of Failing On The Internet, This Different Approach Sucked Me In

When I received the first e-mail at the end of March 09' from master marketers Tellman and Shawn Casey, I looked at the offer and quickly went about my business as if I never saw it. As good marketers know, people rarely buy anything the first time they see your offer so you need to present it over and over again, sometimes eight or nine times before they either opt out or buy. Well it only took me two or three times and I took the bait. I don't know if it really looked like a good idea at the time or if I was just so frustrated from my lack of success to that point but I signed up anyway. Actually, they have a very clever way of getting you to sign up by having you fill out an application to find out if you are qualified to join. In this type of business, I can't imagine anyone being turned away so it is a very effective way of gaining prospects.

So after a few days of waiting, I finally get the e-mail congratulating me on being pre-approved. Yeah me! I think...wait...what was this about again? Oh yea, that thing where they teach you to be a Media Placement Specialist. Cool. So I logged on to the website and saw all of the testimonials and articles about how great it is and all of that. But I also saw one thing that almost locked it for them and that is a very big guarantee. I have much more to say about that guarantee but for now I'll just say that although I didn't sign up the first time I looked at the website, that guarantee burned a mark in my brain that I just couldn't get rid of. The claim was that they would guarantee you would make $10,350 or the program and all of the training that I had received to that point was free. Or option two was to continue with the program as long as it took to hit that mark, but what kind of option is that? I can do that anyway. No I'd like to keep my options open please, especially ones where I get my money back after ninety days.

Well I paid my $197 plus the cost of shipping and felt comfortable that I had made a good business decision (though my wife would disagree) and waited for my package to arrive. The next day, I received my package via Fed-Ex and begins stage two, what to do next.

Websites Provided By GCFN

24 Hour Web Cash
This is the first of the two websites I will be promoting with GCFN. It is a very nice website, if I do say myself, and I was pleased to learn that I can customize it by adding up to ten pages of additional content.
My Web Cash Store
This is the second website which is equally as nice and allows me to sell actual products. This will open up a whole new stream of income for me...Hopefully

What Happens Next?

What Do I Do? How Do I Start? Somebody Tell Me What To Do!

When I got home and found the Fed-Ex pack I immediately opened it and sat down in my big comfy chair and began reading. I wanted to find something, anything in that manual that would tell me once and for all how all of the so called "gurus" are making such large amounts of money. Well it didn't. Not in so many words. What I did find was a very large amount of content that was impossible to go through in one day. In fact, there were enough pages in this 1-1/4" binder that it took me a few days to really go through it. Two weeks later and I still find myself going back to read something and find myself reading something else as if it were the first time. Anyway, what to do next. Well the instructions tell you the very first thing to do is to fill out the proper forms and fax or mail them back so you can get your websites and affiliate links activated. So I did. Then I read that you are supposed to contact your Level One Media consultant, so I did. Well those guys work 9-5 jobs so you have to wait to talk to them. So after a day or two of phone tag (which I won by the way) we finally had a chance to talk. See, here's my problem up to this point. I've had this program for around three days now including the weekend and I haven't been able to do a thing with it. I had so many questions about how to get started and if I was allowed to start promoting right away or maybe I wouldn't get credit if my websites and links weren't activated. So I get on the phone with my Level One Media Consultant, we'll just call him John, and he does what he does best, tries to sell me $7500 worth of traffic. Wait just a darn minute! I have questions that need answers before you try to sell me that kind of stuff. But to no avail. His purpose was only to notify me of that particular program, the "Ultimate Traffic" program and I would have to speak to someone else if I had questions. I guess that's not entirely true, He did guide me through my websites to make sure they work but could not tell me if my links were active so at least I got some information from him.

So after his big schpeel about the "Ultimate Traffic Program" I told him that I couldn't afford to put out any more money until I see results. That must have upset or insulted him because he got very short with me not even considering the smallest package. So in a matter of minutes, we went from nice conversation and smiles to a short blurp of a phone number and talk to someone else about your free options, I can't help you with that. Well that was encouraging. And keep in mind that this is already several days into receiving my package and I haven't been able to do anything yet. (My wife was so happy she could hardly smile)

Well I never got a return call about my free traffic solutions but the following week I got a phone call from someone, we'll call him John again, and after a few seconds of deja vu I stopped him and said "hey John, didn't you guys already call me about the "Ultimate Traffic Program?" There was a short pause as if he didn't know how to react and then he covered the phone as if to mute it from my ears and yelled at someone in his office. Then he got back on the phone and began to ask me questions about who I had talked to and what we had discussed. I apparently gave him the wrong answers because he said to me "well that's not what I'm calling about" I don't offer traffic packages. I am not with GCFN, I am a private contractor who's job is to inform you of your traffic options but since they have already contacted you I guess we have no business here. And I said well, are you allowed to help me with my free traffic problem? That's not what I do, he said but let me ask you, how are you doing so far with the program? Well I haven't been able to do a thing yet, I told him. If it wasn't for the guarantee they offered, I think at this point I'd be getting my money back right now. His response to that comment is where it got real interesting and really scary for me.

Everyone Loves To Be Called A Liar, Don't They?

Bad Attitude From GCFN Rep Leaves Bad Taste In My Mouth

Continuing on from above. I have just commented to the second John that if it wasn't for the guarantee I would probably be looking for a refund. He said to me "what guarantee?" "There's no guarantee." Well that spun my head for a second or two. What do you mean there's no guarantee? That's the only reason I even considered signing up for this program was because the guaranteed me to make over $10,000 in three months or I get my money back! Now getting angry and a little scared. His reaction both shocked me and pissed me off beyond belief. He said, and I quote here "SHOW ME". What do you mean, show me? I said. He said I've been doing this for a while and there is no guarantee, so you show me where it says they guarantee you to make money back and I'll show you that they meant something else that you misunderstood. There is no guarantee. I literally started trembling with anger and I said to him, It will take me a few minutes but I always save my emails which is how I got to that website. He graciously said take your time. As if to imply that I wouldn't be able to find it.

Now, keep in mind that this is about 10:00 in the morning or so and I'm working my regular job, yes I have a great job that I love but need more money, and I've been on the phone with him for over ten minutes now. Frantically searching I found the e-mail and read the web address to him. After a few tries he tells me it must be a bad address because his computer tells him that address contains a virus and he's not allowed to open it. Now I'm on the offensive and I tell him I'll e-mail him the link and he agrees.

How nice to hear the tone of oh sh#t I screwed up come out of his voice. You would not believe the satisfaction I got when he began to read the contents on that website. Now 15 minutes or so into our sometimes heated conversation, he says, well I guess I need to contact someone and find out more about this. I am sorry to have taken up your time. And click...end of conversation. What the hell was that!? I asked myself. What could he have been thinking? How could that man ever possibly make money talking to people on the phone? He had zero people skills and obviously had no product knowledge so why did he call me? I guess I'll never know.

Things Not So Great In Week One So Far

Come Back Soon So You Can Find Out How It's Going

That's all I have for now. As you can see, things in week one aren't going so good. Maybe things got better in week 2, or maybe they got worse. Please come back and see how this chapter ends and if I ever get started working with the program. Thank you for coming.

Wow! you stuck it out long enough to spend $10,000? So far I only have the cost of the program, which was only $199. I dabbled in PPC for it but I don't really have the funds to play with that right now so I only lost about $25 before I gave up. I haven't updated my story with a new Lens yet but I have actually had some success with free traffic exchanges. It's gotten me a few prospects so far, no money yet but prospects are promising. Sorry to hear it didn't go so well for you. I'm still using the program to learn some new marketing and traffic techniques that I didn't know. What I've learned so far is enough to justify the $199 price tag but I would like to start making some money too so I don't know how much longer I'll be able to hang in there before I give up and move on. Since you said it didn't work out for you with GCFN I was wondering if you are doing anything else? I can help if you are interested. I just started a new program and it's great!

The only 100% Cash Back Guarantee is for the cost of the program ($499.00). The rest of your costs are not refundable. I found this out today after spending about $10,000 and 18-months in the program. I only stuck with it so long because of the 'cash back promise' so save yourself a lot of money and learn from my lesson.

Hi Rosina-I saw your tweet earlier and had to see if you left a comment, and you did so thanks. I want you to remember something about GCFN, and again, I'm not saying anything bad about them (yet). What you need to remember is that they too are a marketing company who makes money by selling things to you. Evaluate every offer they present to you and make sure it is something you really need before you buy it. Don't believe what they say just because they say it. It's called "marketing" and they are the ones doing the training so they are very good at it. Best of luck to you. I look forward to hearing your story of success.-Jim

Subject: rosina, did you see pages 11&12 yet?...

    Hi rosina,

Did you get a chance to download the gift I sent you a
    couple days ago?

By the tons of "thank you's" we've been getting I know
the chances are good that you did already get it...

...but have you REALLY seen pages 11&12 yet?

If you have good for you... if not, I suggest you look at
them right now because it's life-changing for sure. In
fact, even if you've already seen it, I think you should
study its wisdom some more because every time I
review it, I get something more out of it.

It's almost as if he snuck back into my computer and
re-wrote some of it in between my readings because
I could've sworn it wasn't there the last time I read it.

    :o)

Anyway, do yourself the favor of treating yourself to
another look at pages 11&12 in the gift I gave you... it'll
take you less than 60 seconds, yet it's positive power
could impact you and your family forever.

    Take care,

    -Mary Gersten

P.S. Just in case the email goblins ate the email I
sent you the first time or if you haven't had a
chance to download it yet (perish the thought!),
    here's how:

Remember, this simply a no-strings-attached gift
from me to you as my way saying "thanks" for
taking time to even CONSIDER letting us earn
    your trust and business.

    Thanks again.
