GOD LOVES YOU, LET ME COUNT THE WAYS!

He Loves Me?

Yes, He loves me, and you. My sister and I grew up knowing His love because our parents and grandparents showed that to us in every way and in every minute of every day. We saw His loved demonstrated in lots of ways.

We shared a room with our grandmother and even though she was tired from her day's work in the house and the garden, she would tell us bedtime stories and we would go off to sleep listening to her warm voice and rest in a sweet dreamland.

Then there are the times that we would be in the car on the way to church and we would sing "I've Got A Mansion Just Over The Hilltop", "Jesus Use Me" and lots of other songs. Oh the memory of our parents" voices!

We saw God's love when our parents would share whatever they had with whoever needed something, or helping a family get their hay in before the rains came.

There are many other ways that we saw His love in our lives and we each came to know Him personally at ages 10 and 9. We hope we show to others how God loves them and they will want to know Him personally. He is everything to us.

This is a newspaper clipping showing our uncle sharing the Word with a fellow miner. This was in 1945.

We have five verses that show His love for you.
type=text

"For God so loved..."

John 3:16 The Amplified Version

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts Him, and relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life, (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

"God commendeth his love ..."

Romans 5:8 New Century Version

But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

"Herein is love ..."

1 John 4:10 The Message

type=textThis is the kind of love we are talking about -- not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.

"gave himself...might deliver us..."

Galatians 1:4 Amplified Version

Who gave (yielded) Himself up [to atone] for our sins [and to save and sanctify us], in order to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked age and world order, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father --

"Son...is come to seek"

Luke 19:10 New Century Version

The Son of Man came to find lost people and save them.

How To Become A Christian

  • BELIEVE THAT GOD LOVES YOU.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that WHOEVER believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NIV
  • BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER
For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 NIV
  • BELIEVE THAT GOD LOVES YOU JUST AS YOU ARE.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS. Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NIV
  • BELIEVE THAT YOU MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS.
I tell you, no! But unless you REPENT, you too will all perish. Luke 13:5 NIV
  • INVITE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO BE YOUR SAVIOR AND LORD
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
    Romans 10: 9,10 NIV
  • BELIEVE THAT JESUS WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU. God has said "NEVER WILL I LEAVE you; NEVER WILL I FORSAKE you." Hebrews 13:5 NIV

Another GREAT lens! Oh yes God love us all and how easy it is to have Him in our lives, it's free, a choice, and it's forever in eternity...we are not judged on our deeds but our acceptance of Christ...once accepted we change and that change is living Christ-like...do we fail? of course, we are not perfect, yet He still accepts us...how great is that!
