What is a GPT Site?

Make Money Online with Get Paid To Sites

GPT sites are an easy way to make money online for free. With a GPT site you make money for completing free offers. There is no catch. Simply follow the TOS, complete offers, and get paid each month.

GPT stands for Get Paid To. I created this page to help explain what Get Paid To sites are, how they work, how to make the most money possible with them, and list GPT sites that pay.

I have received a check every month for more than 3 years now from GPT sites. I know from experience that they really pay. GPT sites are an easy way to make money from home.

What are GPT Sites?

Get Paid To sites are websites that pay you to do something. Most GPT sites pay you to do one or more of the following tasks:

Complete Offers
Click on Ads
Read Emails
Complete Surveys

How Do GPT Sites Work?

Get Paid To....Do What Exactly?

GPT sites get paid by offering advertising space. Companies and individuals pay GPT sites to run banner and text ads, as well as to display offers for the GPT members to complete. The more traffic a site gets, the more they can charge for their advertising space. This means that GPT sites require a lot of members in order to make money with their advertising. In order to get more members so they can then charge more for their advertising space, they pay their members...that's you!

GPT sites aren't scams. Companies want your contact information so they can send you ads, hoping to get your business. GPT sites pay you in return for viewing ads and submitting your information to companies. It's all just business.

How to Get Started

Get Organized and Earn More

If you go into GPT sites blindly and just start creating accounts every where and don't get organized, you may earn a few bucks here and there but you won't earn as much as possible.

I've learned a lot about how to be successful with GPT sites. Here's a plan mapped out for you so that you can earn the most possible with GPT sites:

  1. Create a free email account to use just for the GPT sites. This is a must because the email address you use to complete offers will get spammed. I like to use Google (gmail). Be sure to create an email address that you will remember.

  2. Join a few GPT sites (no more than five until you get the hang of it). Use all of your truthful information (legal name, home address, etc when you register). Use the email address you created in step 1 to register with all the GPT sites and use the same password for every site. You don't want to have trouble logging in because you forgot your email address or password. Be sure to read the FAQ to each site. Some sites require you to "cashout" in order to get paid. Some require you to "submit" offers after you complete them. Be sure you know what each site requires.

  3. Bookmark the sites you sign up for so that you can come back to them. I also recommend creating a spreadsheet in Excel of the sites you register with so you can keep up with your earnings.

  4. If you do not yet have a PayPal account, get one now. Many GPT sites pay only via PayPal. Be sure you have the email address you created for the GPT sites added to the PayPal account.

After you have all of this in place, start making money. Make enough to cashout with each site and decide which ones you like the most and focus your time and energy on those sites. I prefer to really focus on three at a time.

After you're in a rhythm and have it all figured out, start recruiting referrals into your downline on your favorite sites so that you can earn even more.

How to Get Offers to Clear

Unlock Your Earning Potential with the Highest Clear Rates Possible

So many people join GPT sites and then get discouraged because all of the offers don't complete. They end up quitting before they even earn enough for their first cash out.

It's important to note that no one has a 100% clear rate. This isn't due to the GPT site, it is the result of the company that paid for the offer to be displayed. Either they failed to pay the GPT site for their advertising space (which means the GPT doesn't have the money to pay you) or the company claimed that you didn't complete the offer correctly. A very normal clear rate for offers on most GPT sites is around 60%. If you have your security settings turned up high on your computer (as I do), you may see a clear rate around 40%. That being said, GPT sites are still an easy and legitimate way to earn money.

There are things that you must do in order to get your offers to clear with GPT sites. They are:

  • Clear your cookies before logging in to the GPT site. Clear your cookies after you complete each offer.

  • Keep the final page of the offer up for at least 5 minutes. Even if you complete it correctly, it might not clear if you close it right away.

  • Don't do a ton of offers at once with a particular GPT. My rule of thumb is to do about 10 offers at a time. Then I move on to a different site for a while.

  • Don't forget to "submit." Most GPT sites require you to submit an offer after you complete it.

GPT Sites that Pay

How Do I Know They Pay? Because They've Paid Me!

These GPT sites really pay and are my favorites. They are easier to work with and more established than many of the newer GPT sites. These sites are the ones I recommend you start with:

drchetan5 says:

Do GPT sites cancel the account if someone doesn't log in for a longer period thereby losing all their money ?

aliyah7 says:

I have not had a really good experience in this area. I use InboxDollars and It took me about 2 months just to reach my $30 threshold, then another 2 months to get the check. I have not actually received it yet. These sites you recommend, are they the same way? I've heard other good testimonials of Cashcrate and Barbie.

Aliyah says:

What is the difference between GPT sites and Paid Survey Sites?

my_never_bored_hands says:

"Clear your cookies before logging in to the GPT site. Clear your cookies after you complete each offer."
How I'd do that and why I have to do that? And another question, I think I read in some of those sites that their put Cookies on purpose to truck all offers you've completed. So, if I removed cookie each time before log in and after completing an offer, then I will be able to complete the same offer again (in the nearest future)?

Richard says:

Based off the money you make and the time you put in, around how much would you say you make an hour through these sites?

hardworking says:

can we complete same offers on multiple sites? I have noticed the majority of the sites have duplicate offers.. What happens if we do?

Lynn Krudo says:

Is this good for someone that lives in Israel?

And my answer is...

thrivingmom says:

drchetan5, some GPT sites do and some don't. You just have to read the TOS of each site. CashCrate doesn't, which is yet another reason why I love it. Some sites will close your account after just 1 month of inactivity. Others have a 60 day or 90 day log in rule. I have seen one site that had a requirement of logging in once every calendar year or they'd close your account.

That was a great question. So many people forget to closely read the TOS of each GPT they work with.

julia11151 says:

nice

thrivingmom says:

I stopped working with InboxDollars years ago and FusionCash too because both became too hard to reach payout. The only sites I recommend now are CashCrate, DealBarbiePays, DealBarbiePaysFast, and SquishyCash. Those sites are easy to reach payout each month and always pay on time as promised. I've gotten a check in the mail every month for over 3 years now from CashCrate.

thrivingmom says:

That's a great question and one I answer on my other page How to Make Money with GPT Sites. Survey sites email you surveys that you answer and you get paid per survey. There is a set amount of surveys you get, so the maximum you can earn with them is usually around $15 to $35 a month. But it's easy money because all you do is give your opinion over products you use. It's companies doing market research and paying you to tell them what you like and don't like about products you use regularly. GPT sites pay you to complete offers. There are many, many offers to complete. Once you get organized and learn how to clear your cookies after each offer and get a downline built up, you can earn hundreds per month with GPT sites, but you will get spam, so create an email address that you use just for GPT sites.

thrivingmom says:

Great question never bored. If you don't clear your cookies your offers won't clear because it will look like you've already completed that offer. Despite clearing cookies you cannot complete the same offer twice. It is a violation of the TOS of every GPT site. I don't know how they track that, but they do and they shut down violating accounts fast. You also cannot complete the same offer from varying GPT sites. That's why I work with the 4 sites (banners above) that I do. Very few (if any) offers are the same on these sites. So, I can work on all 4 and never worry about violating the TOS.

thrivingmom says:

Richard, that is a great question, but it is very difficult to answer. Since having my 3rd child (I now stay at home with 3 kids under the age of 4), I'm too busy to complete offers. I built up my downline and now make $40 to $50 a month with gpt sites without spending any time on them at all. My downline is earning for me. All I do is log in to each site once a month (spending less than 2 minutes on each site) to keep my account active.

thrivingmom says:

hardworking, no you may not complete the exact same offer on multiple gpt sites. All gpt sites include that in their TOS. Doing so by mistake just a few times won't cause you problems, but doing so regularly is considered fraud and will get you banned. To avoid this, just pick about 3 gpt sites to work with that don't have many offers that cross over. My main 3 are CashCrate, DealBarbi Pays Fast, and SquishyCash.

thrivingmom says:

GPT sites can be great for any adult no matter where they live. Many GPT sites only allow members from the US, Canada, or the UK, so you will have to do a few Google searches to find GPT sites that pay members in your country.

As long as you don't have 2 separate accounts or try to complete offers you've already completed, you should be fine.

What a great GPT blog you have set up here friend. Yes, GPT sites are certainly a great way to earn some good money. Now, it doesn't compare to what one would get through a full time job that pays minimum wage, but if you're simply looking for a method that can earn you a decent amount of extra cash in a relatively short period of time, then the GPT industry is definitely worth checking out.

For the past 3 years, I've promoted this industry quite extensively through my own blog, YouTube, forums, etc., and one of the things that I've always emphasized to my viewers is the frustration that many go through when they begin using this program, which is simply non-crediting offers. I do believe that this is one main reasons why many people end up leaving this industry and it's such a tragedy because this frustration can easily be addressed if people take the necessary steps to ensure their credit such as, clearing their cookies as mentioned above.

To thrivingmom, I loved how you pretty much summarized those important steps in such a simplified form. The tips you give are fantastic and I commend you for that my dear because unfortunately, there are many people like us that promote this industry, but don't go into the details of it, at least, not to your extent.

However, if I may, I'd like to add on to what you said regarding the necessity to clear your cookies and such because it is such an important part to preventing those offers from going to that infamous pending folder.

Firstly, yes, it's important to clear those cookies before and after every offer you complete. However, before you even do this, you need to set up your browser to accept all cookies. Firefox is the number one recommended browser to use for these offers. If you're using Internet Explorer, do NOT use version 7 as this browser is known to cause crediting issues. Use either version 6,8 or the newly released IE 9.

Now, as for clearing the cookies themselves, I also strongly believe that there needs to be a special emphasis on the fact that you need to do so while you're LOGGED OUT of the GPT site and NOT clear them while you're logged on. The best analogy I can think of is that cookies, for the purposes of this business, are like little signs that say ?Send the credit here!? Every time you log on to a site, a cookie goes out carrying that sign so if you were to stay logged on and then clear your cookies and cache, and go back to complete an offer, you'd essentially be deleting that important "Send the credit here" sign. So you can imagine that it would be extremely difficult for the computer that issues you your credit to not credit properly. Sometimes the credit will find it's way to you. Sometimes it won't.

Other things can also prevent you from getting credited, such as having Yahoo and Google toolbars enabled on your browser. This one's another biggie, having your anti-virus program turned on while completing offers is also a big no-no. Another thing that should be disabled is your pop-up blockers because sometimes the computer that issues your credit sends the code, which is basically the key to getting your credit, and may very well end up on one of the offer's pop-up messages and/or windows. So you can imagine that by blocking it, you're basically destroying any chance of getting that credit.

Now, as for staying on an offer's final page for 5 minutes, yes, that is another valid point. However, it needs to be said that during this waiting period, you shouldn't be doing anything. Don't check your email, don't surf the net, watch videos, or anything else. What you want here is silence in cyberspace, so the offer can credit in peace.

If the offer doesn't credit within that time frame, it maybe an offer that credits on a pre-scheduled basis so it's just good to move on. If the offer doesn't credit within 24 hours, assume that it won't for the reasons that thrivingmom mentions above. You can do everything right, but there are so many variables that come into play here that ultimately prevents you from getting credited 100% of the time so whoever is reading this comment, please bare that in mind.

There are other steps that you can take to further ensure your offer's approval, but since I maybe overstaying my welcome (understandably of course) with this very long comment, I'll just leave it at that.

To thrivingmom, I hope you find some value within my comment that you can use to share with others. To the other readers that see this, I hope you find my info useful and please be grateful to thrivingmom here for going out of her way to provide you with such great insight into the GPT industry and how it operates. Trust me, there's not that many of us promoters that really like to go into detail about anything we promote because to a lot of people, it's not worth the hassle. However, these are the people who just have one thing in their minds - MONEY and making it quick without putting much effort, which is sad, because ultimately, just with a little effort that's put into promotions like this, on a consistent basis will go a long way to convince others to consume your content.

Always keep in mind fellas, it's NOT all about you, it's about what you can offer to others and doing so in a way that can be perceived as both valuable and irreplaceable. ;)

You make some really great points about GPT sites. I've personally found that they are a great way to make money online. Your suggestion to "not put your eggs" in one basket are a good one. I currently use Cashorpoint.com and BestGPTsite.com and have founnd that they have many offers and always pay on time.

Thanks for sharing this info. Really helpful. I've just started to work with four GPTs, and didn't get paid yet, but my friends did.... so, I'm really looking forward to get paid.

I made $67 this month with Squishy and I only spent 2 hours on it this month. So, I'm super excited about that one. GPT sites may not be the kind of work you want to brag to friends about, but when money is tight GPT sites are a great source of extra income.
