Gail Gilmore

As a realistic matter and they call it in the metaphoric zone survival in the lights, Gail Gilmore has an intelligent presence in her roles on stage. She is not the same person on stage. She is Delilah, Lady Macbeth, Salome and all those strong women together to give meaning to the fiction in its time. She brings herself with deep fidelity to live the history and reproduce the events as realities.

Therefore, she dislikes the simple roles of romance, dreamy life and other nostalgias. I embraced her twice during the Odion show of Delilah behind the curtains while she was doing her makeup and on her leisure at Ambasoera and Hamasien hotels in Asmara.

In fact, when the first hotel got crowded while we were talking in the hall, she suggested having a run on the street to continue the interview I began behind the curtain in Odeon.

So, we ran together with our interview until we came to Hamasien hotel where we had café and where I have completed the interview with her words "this is a very excellent interview I ever have had." She mentioned this many times during the questions.

Gail Gilmore is a career-minded woman. She anticipated that she was a woman even when she was a child. She was born in Washington. Her father was a Baptist minister and Baptist preacher, so the family went from church to church and Gail studied in Virginia, went to Louisiana where they generally from and lived in New Orleans until she went to the university. So, she never felt miserable while she was a child. I tried to make her relax to get a flash back through my first set of short questions about the time while she was a child.

Many great people in different fields of arts and knowledge became so, because they built this fame since they were children. I wanted to let Gail Gilmore follow the thread of my questions and live inside them to come out with great story about an opera star to read.
