On their sign up page you have to fill out what you would expect, name address and phone number and your credit card information.. So I signed up and while they do ask for your credit card information, you wont get billed unless you decide to continue the service past the 10 day trial service.
Cancelling it is easy so you wont have problems there. You simply call a phone number that is easy to find and you tell them you want to cancel and that's that. Alright so, I signe dup, the process was simply and anyone can do it. So far so good!

So after signing up you can roam freely on the website and I decided to go look for a video game. Actually, for two videos games. I wanted to have them mailed to me while on the trial of course.
I wanted to rent 2 popular Xbox 360 video games, Grant Theft Auto 4 and Gears of War 2. Since these are very popular games, I did not have high hopes in them being available for rent. So I browsed around and found them. To my suprisement they were indeed available!

Alright, so after finding the two games I wanted, I added them to my checkout basket and made a few clicks and they were ready to come home! Yay! Alright, this was done on a Saturday. I figured it might take a couple of days for them to process my order so I did not expect anything until midweek at least, most likely later. Well, again, I am suprised as my two games arrived on Monday. I think if I had ordered on Friday, my games would have arrived the next day.
Alright, so on Monday I get two CD mailer packages. One game per package. I open them up and noticed that in there comes a pepaid CD mailer as well. I was expecting for me to pay for the return postage but nope, it comes prepaid and ready to go. So I bust open the game and look it over.

GameFly Review - Playing The Video Games
When I opened the holder in which the games came in for GTA4 I noticed a few swirly marks. I was expecting this since it is a rental. Next I insert first Grand Theft Auto 4 into my Xbox 360 and I try to play it. It played just fine. It did not skip or lock up the game. All worke dout just fine.
After a couple of minutes I decided to switch games and put Gears of War 2 in to play. Oh yeah, this one was scratch free. It looked brand new. So yeah, I put it in to play GOW2 and it played just fine. I went on my Xbox live account only to have my butt beat online. Nevertheless the games played fine without a hitch.
So that part of the trial is going good. They delivered quickly and the games perfectly fine. I like what I have experienced so war with GameFly.

So I kept the games until the 10th day. To really test their customer support I decided to call in and tell I would not like to continue the service.
Do note, I did want to continue with the service because I was pleased with the quick delivery and ease to get the games. But I wanted to test their customer service and to do that, I wanted to call in and se ehow easy would it be to cancel it.
Alright, so I dial the phone number that comes in an insert with the games. I follow a few prompts on the phone and shortly I am connected with a live person. I simply tell them this is the 10th day of the GameFly trial period and I would like to cancel it.
I was expecting them trying to make me an offer or something. Basically, I expected them to do anything in order for me to stay with them and continue the monthly subscription. Well, I was wrong. The lady was very nice and said, "sure we could cancel your account." After giving them my full name and address to identify me properly, she processed my cancellation and said thank you for trying out the trial period and to send the games back at my convenience.
That was simply. Honestly, I was expecting them to say they can't cancel until they received the games. They didn't say that, they cancelled it and told me to return them at my convenience in the prepaid CD mailer envelopes that came in the mail with my games.
It was that simple. So I send them in, I call my credit card company to see if any charges have been made. None were made and that's good.
GameFly Review - The Verdict
GameFly Review - The Verdict
It was a pleasent experience and two weeks later after the trial, I went back and subscribed to the $8.99 per month offer they have where you can rent out as many games per month as you want. Since they have warehouses all over the country, the games arrive the next day after renting them from the GameFly website.
Do I recommend the service? Most definately, however, don't take my word for it. Sign up for their free trial period. You can do so here: GameFly 10 Day Trial Period
It's a great service and I am sure you'll be satisfied but take advantage of the trial offer before actually signing up.
Thanks, I hope my person experience and review of their service helps you make a better decision on going with GameFly over other video game rental website companies. Again, her eis the link to their 10 day trial: GameFly - 10 Day Trial Offer
