My wife purchased this for a trip to Florida. She was so impressed with how easy this Garmin 255W was to use. On the trip, we like to stop and golf on various courses along the way. No problem finding the courses, hotels, and resturants with this Garmin. Everything we needed to find was at our fingertips. It sure did make it easy for us. We are more than pleased with our purchase.

I considered a lot of different GPS devices before finally settling on this one. At first, I was firmly in the Tom-Tom camp b/c of the free upgrades on their maps and the customer correction stuff. However, after much reading, I finally decided to take the plunge and try a garmin. My mother has a TomTom so I'd already experienced her TomTom One. There is no contest. I adore the Garmin. After 2 weeks, it has yet to make a mistake, and is always completely accurate - even to the point of telling me which side of the street my destination is on. I couldn't love it more.

I never realized what a great thing gps really is.......
My night vision is not so great anymore so even just using at night on map mode i can see the street names come up as im driving...and i recently went visiting colleges with my daughter and it was SO Easy to get around and while up in buffalo looking at the schools a nephew was flying into the airport and since I was in the area I offered to pick him up, I didn't have to stress about knowing how to get to an airport in a unfamiliar town I just put the airport in and it told me how to get there!!!!
