PowerPoint presentations can be one of the best forms of effective communication if done correctly and one o the most disastrous if done poorly. Unfortunately, most are done poorly. Thanks for a great book on this important subject.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. You are very kind. And a special thank you to Seth for making this page. I'm honored. Seth is a fantastic presenter -- love watching him present -- and it means a lot to have someone like Seth speak so highly of the book. Thanks again everyone! -g

I love his blog. It has opened my eyes to doing things differently - seeing that the way we have always done it, does not mean we have to continue that way, especially in the business world.

I greatly anticipate this book as a way to improve my presentations. Cliff Atkinson opened my eyes a few years ago and now I look forward to Garr's wisdom. It will also be interesting to see what this book does for istockphoto.com.

Been a fan of Garr and the PZ approach for a while. It's bang on. My colleagues consider me a presentation rockstar, thanks to him...and that was after about 5 minutes on his blog. So simple - so powerful.

Thanks - as someone who agrees - PowerPoint can go beyond bullets - I can hardly wait to read the book!

I've read Garr's blog. He's soooooooooo right. Nothing more discouraging than looking out in a group and seeing people nod off.
  • rushang Dec 21, 2007 @ 12:34 pm | delete
This is a must read for anyone that presents, no matter how large or small their audience is. With images relatively easy to find and cheap on the web, there's no excuse for people to not use visuals (instead of a laundry list of bullet points) to tell their story.

I've always enjoyed public speaking and presenting, and thought I did both reasonably well. Garr's blog has been such an inspiration for me to break out of old, tired ways of presenting and let creative stories shine. I can't wait to pick up the book - Garr's design and thought leadership works!
