Hi, Ed Haskins here! Gary Halbert was a legend within the direct response advertising industry, having written one of the most mailed sales letters in direct mail history, the "Coat of Arms" letter, reputed to have been mailed over 600,000,000 times over twenty years.

In addition to writing advertising copy for clients, Halbert authored and promoted his own newsletter, The Gary Halbert Letter from September, 1986 through March, 2007. While The Gary Halbert Letter was originally printed and mailed to paid subscribers only, Halbert eventually made many of the newsletters available for free on his website.
