Love your ideas. I want my research to be full of more than just names and dates. I want the people to come to life!

I thought I would do scrapbooks for each of my children as they were growing. But, I just couldn't find the time. So now I am working on scrapbooks for them as gifts. Thanks for the great ideas!

nice lens....5*....I have been in the process of creating a scrap-book, but being a perfectionist it will never get done...because I have a small family, no grandchildren, and two children that are not interested in their incredible rich family history...I will to do it for myself and self satisfaction...maybe one day when I'm gone they will appreciate it...at least I have "squidoo" to get some of my genealogy ideas out there, it'll make it easier to scrapbook it finished.

So many great lenses, it was hard to know which to visit first. I picked this one because it is a really nice idea. I had thought about collating the old stories and photos, but love Julie's idea of a 'living genealogy' and like your own suggestions for these. I can see how these scrapbooks would become valued heirlooms as the years passed.

Paul -- do you know, we need a living genealogy scrapbook for each Thanksgiving's family reunion -- hubby and I sit in the car on our drive up to Waycross talking about who is who, which side of the family, hubby/wife names plus the kids -- a scrapbook would be so much more helpful!

This looks like a great way to highlight some of my family's genealogical information.
