How to cashflow effectively in your Network Marketing business
Think about it, most people join or start a home business to make money, after all that's one of the selling points of a network marketing business "no overhead" right. Well think again, if you don't properly count the cost you could be headed for a very expensive lesson. To properly build any business from home let alone Network Marketing you will need money. A lack thereof is the number one killer in Network Marketing. One question you need to ask yourself is "Am I in business to make money or lose it"?
Along with the start-up costs there will be other fees associated with running your business. The million dollar question here is this "Where will that money come from?" Normally, it will come from your current job or income source, depleting your discretionary income. Now, instead of building a business you just created a bill.
In this lens you will learn how to restructure your way of building your business without compromising your life.
1. Uncovering the true Cost of being your Network marketing business
How to do a Feasibilty Study
Simply put this is your money math. It is the process of laying out all income coming into your home and subtracting out expenses to decide what is the bare minimum you need to earn in order to live. By this you will know what it takes to have your basic needs (food, clothing, mortgage, rent, bills etc.) met. If you currently don't know where your spending your money I would suggest you begin to keep track and utilize some good budgeting tools. This will allow you to be able to view all your spending in one place and give you a quick snapshot to your spending habits. The feasibility exercise is the foundation to your money flowing in the right direction "in and not out of you bank account"! 2. Taking advantage of all your tax deductions.
Track and Record Expenses
The free enterprise system in the United States is suited for business owners but many miss the available tax deductions due to a lack of knowledge and tracking system. For example, the following expenses are partially deductible for home-based business owners:*mortgage payment *business expenses*computer expenses *mileage or vehicle usage*office supplies *phone lines*internet service *mobile phones*cost of business gifts *meetings and meals.Tip: Be sure to itemize and securely store deductions in advance of year end, to potentially increase cash flow.
3. Building your Network Marketing business on a Budget.
How to build on a budget
Can you earn money in the first six months? Absolutely, but count the cost. No one ever considers the cost of building a network marketing business. The long hours, time apart from family, and favorite activities. Mike Dillard the creator of building on a budget explains this in his free course building on a budget. The reason that this is important is your business may take longer than you want to become successful, costing you more money as a result. Keep in mind time is money, the longer it takes the more money you will spend.Tip: Money will need to be allocated to building your business. Do not under any circumstances co-mingle funds with personal and business expenses. One of the best ways to keep track of this is by getting a separate account for you business with a debit of atm card with a Visa or Master Card logo, not a credit card
4.Living with the honest Scales and Balances
How to win in the moment of truth
In network marketing discipline and accountability leads to ascension and dominance. Where you spend your time, and money will have a profound effect on your results. The idea here is to restructure your way of living without compromising your way of life.Stay focused here; Starting your home based business is a "business decision" and not an "emotional decision", this is key. Never make a financial decision based on emotion. If you find that the cost for starting your business is more than you can afford right now, all is not lost. There are good companies and resources available to you that can aid you in starting out. Just be patient here and do your research.
5.Knowing where to spend your time and money
Effectiveness or Efficiency
This is the greatest secret to reaching insane levels of business success in network marketing and yet your upline will never tell you.Ann Seig explains this concept in her free report "The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing"
Most people use the words effectiveness and efficiency interchangeably without realizing there's and enormous difference between the two. In business, small differences can mean nothing less than total success or complete failure. Having the slightest edge can make all the difference in the world.
So what's the difference?
Efficiency means becoming excellent at performing any given task.
vs
Effectiveness means taking the overall objective into consideration and figuring out which activities are the most important to reaching that goal and then doing them.
