Geronimo Stilton and The Rodent's Gazette
Geronimo Stilton is the main character (a rodent) in a series of best selling children's books. Geronimo Stilton books are aimed at the 9 -12 year old age group but I believe it to be more accurately aimed at the 6 to 9 age range (that's been my personal experience).
Each book tells of wild adventures he and his rodent family members go on. The books are brightly colored with interesting illustrations, funky fonts and cheesy puns (mouse humor) scattered throughout the short chapters...this keeps things interesting & easy for young readers.
Each story is a separate adventure and the books can be read in any order as he introduces himself within the 1st couple pages of each book..."Oops! I think I forgot to introduce myself. Silly me! My name is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton. I run The Rodent's Gazette, the most famouse newspaper on Mouse Island."
