Hoping for Conception - Questioning my Fertility
After you make the decision that you and your partner are going to Have a baby, your imagination is off and wondering what that little one will be like, and what will your family be like with this new addition. At least... that's what I was thinking. When my husband and I first started trying (when I stopped using contraception), I found it it a freeing experience and was very excited.
But as delightful as that was I also had a lot of questions. After it became clear that I want going to conceive immediately the question I began to live with daily was...How long is it going to take for me to get pregnant?
You might be wondering this too.
Getting Pregnant Conception Beliefs To Avoid
Condition Your Body Into Fertility
I began reading quite a few articles and came across some statistics that said the following:After making the decision and then trying to get pregnant, 25% of women conceived in the first month, 60% conceived in the within months, 75% conceived within nine months, 80% conceived within twelve months, and 90% conceived within eighteen months. This was good news to me because it said that, unless something was really wrong, I should have my little one conceived and growing inside some time in the coming year or so. Well... as it turned out it took much longer than that for me, but it gave me a good idea of what could be expected for 90% of women.
I started talking with friends and colleagues about how long it took them to get pregnant, and how long it took all of their friends and colleagues to get pregnant, and almost all of them said they conceived within a year or so of trying. Granted, they were all younger than me (I was 36 at the time), but it did ease my mind knowing it may take a while before my body says 'yes' to conceiving. In fact, that whole idea began to take root in me, that at some stage my body was going to say 'yes', and then I would be pregnant. And the sooner I made my body a welcoming place for a conception to happen, the sooner it probably would happen.
Getting Pregnant With Fertility plan
When I realized there were concrete things I could do to make my getting pregnant more likely, I made a record of them all and then did them all. After all... I didn't have the luxury of time. I changed my diet changed, cutting out coffee, drinking more water, cutting out alcohol, making sure there were plenty of leafy greens in each meal and getting a good half hour walk in every day. I changed my sexual activity from just whenever the fancy took my husband and I, to really focusing on my ovulation and making sure we had our timing right each month. Then I began to look forward to my baby with a very positive expectancy. And... Well, I miscarried once, but then, it happened. We had our daughter, then two years later at the age of 41 I had my son, and now at 46 our third is now with us. If you are thinking you need to make your body a welcoming place for conception to happen, you are right.

10 Lifestyle Conception Tips
Unless you got married very young, you've probably spent most of your adult life trying to avoid getting pregnant. It's only when you decide to actually have kids that you begin >thinking about your fertility. And it's easy to obsess about. Unless you get pregnant right away, you start thinking there might be something wrong. Like Blocked Fallopians & It's not likely there's anything wrong. Statistics on this show that over 90% of women get pregnant within eighteen months of their first starting trying. But because we've been living our lives up until now probably without much thought about being fertile, it is likely that our bodies are a lot less fertile than they could possibly be. Simple changes in lifestyle can result in you being a lot more fertile, and much more likely to conceive. Let's start with the obvious:-1) Make your diet a healthy one. Cut out the fast food, eat plenty of fruit and veg.
-2) Cut back on high carb refined white flour products. No more snacks of chocolate.
-3) Cut back on your coffee and caffeine intake. If possible don't drink it at all.
-4) Alcohol, Reduce your drinking to just a glass here and there, but ideally...stop.
-5) Smoking? Quit NOW
-6) Exercise moderately. A brisk half hour walk each day does your body good.
-7) Plenty of sleep. Peoples' sleep needs vary, but make sure you get all you need.
-8) Drink plenty of water, at least two litres every day. This combined with moderate exercise keeps your lymph system working at it's optimum.
-9) look for ways to reduce stress. High levels of stress can prevent the body's systems from functioning properly. The more relaxed you are the more you body's systems can perform their functions.
-10) Have a positive outlook on your pregnancy. The more you think about your pregnancy and all that you are doing to get pregnant with a positive expectancy, the more likely it is things will turn out the way you want them.
This may all seem a lot to think about, but work them into your life, slowly, one after the other, and soon you will be vibrant with health and in peak fertility.
