Message From the Secretary...

Attention Giant Squid Greeters,
Giant Squid Community Organizers,
and Citizen Squid Mentors...
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to welcome new lensmasters to the Squidoo community, answer questions and offer assistance to struggling newbies, and mentor lensmasters working toward their Giant Squid and Giant Squid 100 Club goals and beyond.
Should any team member be caught lurking idly in the SquidU Forum, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
This tape will self-destruct in five seconds...
Let's Get in the Mood...
Now... Let's Get Down to Business!

FOUR: Visit SquidU (Squid University)

Squidoo's online learning community, SquidU, includes the learning library, the lensmaster lounge, and a weekly newsletter, the SquidU Review. SquidU will be your first stop for information about getting started and succeeding with Squidoo. Check out the latest articles at the learning library. You'll find helpful tips for creating and promoting your lenses. There's even a glossary with brief definitions of the key terms we use on Squidoo.
Squidoo's community forum, the lensmaster lounge, is a great place to learn and interact with your fellow Squidizens. The Giant Squid Greeters will be keeping an eye on the New? Introduce Yourself! forum. If you're new to Squidoo, this is the place to announce yourself to the community and perhaps meet and encourage others who are also getting started. After you've experimented a bit with your lenses, you might want to introduce them in the Critique Me... forum, where other lensmasters (including the Giant Squid Greeters) can offer suggestions for improvement and pats on the back for a job well done. Are you confused about something? Let us know in the Help, Please forum. If you scan the topics, you may even find the answer you're looking for.
You'll also want to subscribe to the SquidU Review, a weekly email newsletter written by Squidoo's Community Organizer, Kimberly Dawn Wells. Every issue is packed with tips and tricks for making the most of your Squidoo experience. Kimberly has also written a number of excellent how-to lenses. Some of my favorites are highlighted below.
