Giant squids at the bottom of the ocean...
After hanging out at Squidoo for a while I found out about these "Giant Squids", who have made more than fifty decent lenses. A silly thought occurred to me: I need to tell these people about Baterz' "Giant Squid" song.
So, this lens will introduce the Squidoo "Giant Squids" to a cute little song about "Giant Squids". Enjoy!

A bit about Baterz
Baterz was a musician from Adelaide (and Canberra), who regularly performed gigs in local pubs and at folk festivals across the country. He had a strange sense of humour and wrote weird and wonderful lyrics, full of vivid images that made you think, smile or relate. Baterz was also a genius on the guitar, playing catchy tunes with bizarre time signatures. Very few people who hear Baterz fail to love him.He also sang with a band called The Bedridden and ensured their music had his weird signature sounds all through it.
In short, he was amazing. Australian musicians loved him. It was a tragedy that he died in 2002.
Soon after Baterz' death a 200 kg giant squid was found washed up on the shores of Tasmania, and those familiar with Baterz's work couldn't help but suspect it was one last goodbye. - From Baterz' Myspace page.

Baterz is well loved by Aussie musicians
"Great Big Squiddy Fun - A Baterz Tribute" is an album produced by Fizzygo Records who purely exist to keep Baterz' music available after his death. Many big name Australian artists have come together to perform their favourite Baterz pieces. Some of the covers are incredibly good and I really wish Baterz had heard them too.
Most places selling the Baterz tribute album are selling it combined with "Baterz for beginners" so you can hear some of his original works. If you haven't heard these songs, make sure you get a copy!
