Finding the right part for your guitar

Finding the right part for your guitar can be a frustrating thing. Being that there are thousands of guitar brands and even more models all with different specification its difficult to find the right part.

Well to help you out with this task we have created a part finder database located at
Giitar Parts
. You can search parts by size. Enter in the minimum width or height or length you need and a listing of all the parts that are greater or equal to the size you need will display. This way you can compare the available part sizes and find a match that is close to what you need.

If a part is close the Tusq man made ivory is very easy to adjust with sand paper.

We have all the Tusq items in the database now and are adding more every day.

We hope that helps you out.

About Tusq Saddles and Nuts

MAN-MADE IVORY
Sounds so good, it must be illegal!

If you have a high quality acoustic or vintage guitar you owe it to yourself to hear the difference a TUSQ® nut and saddle will make. Compared to standard materials, you'll hear crystal clear bell-like high end, big open lows, and a noticable increase in overall sustain.

TUSQ has quickly become an important tone performance tool for many guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals around the world. TUSQ nuts and saddles have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials.

Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top.

TUSQ nuts, saddles and bridge pins are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body, and has been proven to increase the harmonic sustain of a guitar. Acoustic guitars come alive with delicate highs and big open lows!

TUSQ is far superior in sound and appearance to synthetics such as MicartaTM and CorianTM. The high levels of heat and pressure used in making TUSQ results in its exotic ivory-like appearance.

Join those who know great guitar tone! TUSQ is used by: Martin, Taylor, Larrivee, Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Tacoma Guitars, Ovation, Rick Turner, Garrison Guitars, Breedlove, Manuel Rodriguez, Rainsong, Carvin, Landola and many, many more.

How to tune your guitar.

You will have to tune after you put your strings back on.

I found this video on tuning your guitar on You tube. Quite frankly I was not impressed with the choices that were available but it was the best of the ones I found. When I have time I will have to do one myself. I guess its just the teacher in me.
