When I was a little girl, I loved jewelry boxes. I kept all kinds of random things in them besides just the usual jewelry. My favorite one had a ballerina in the top, and a secret compartment under one of the drawers.
I don't collect them like I used to, but every once in a while, I like pulling one of my old ones out and going through it. Just to see what kind of things my younger self used to think was important enough to secret away. And I love giving new ones to my nieces.

Just In Case Music (Fairy box)
This enchanting fairy music box is pink, cream and gold. It has 4 drawers, 1 on each side, and is covered in pictures of fairys dancing. There is also a fairy figure who pops up and dances when the box is opened. It is lined with flocked paper, and has a mirror in the lid.
Ballerina Jewelry Box
This octagonal ballerina box plays Swan Lake when opened. The ballerina twirls around to the music, and the heart-shaped mirror in the lid is an especially nice touch. The flowers painted around the bottom are nicely detailed and sure to appeal to most little girls.
Iridescent Fairy Jewelry Box
Not only the fairy shimmers and shines, the entire outside of the box does as well! Watch the beautiful fairy twirl to the tune of Swan Lake. There is an oval mirror in the lid of the box, and watching the colors change as you tilt it in the light is simply lovely.
Hello Kitty Princess Accessory Organizer
This box has three drawers as well as a place to hang necklaces or bracelets. Made of wood and painted in the trademark Hello Kitty pink, it has stars, a crown, and a couple of cute Hello Kittys on the top and sides. This is sure to please any little princess. Measures 6.75in long, 3.75in wide, and 9in tall.
Discover Your World (Fairytale Box)
This lovely box sparks images of all the 'prince riding on a white horse to rescue the fair damsel' fairytales you heard about as a child. The white horse turns as Clair de Lune plays when you open the lid. There are 4 hidden drawers in the corners of the box for those 'secret' treasures. With a mirror in the lid, and velvet flocked paper lining, this is sure to be a favorite addition to your collection.
Prince & Princess Music Box
Unlike most other jewelry boxes, this one has two figures that twirl around appearing to dance with each other. The Prince and Princess dance above images of green fairytale landscapes and a castle complete with moat and drawbridge. A mirror takes up the entire inside of the box lid, and four drawers, one on each side of the box completes the look. The inside of the box and of all the drawers has flocked paper lining, and the tune it plays is "Invitation To Dance."
Mermaid Trinket Box
Last but not least, this lovely mermaid trinket box is a must for any collection. The mermaids hair is reddish gold, and she wears a gold crown. Her tail is pale purple to dark pink, the fins are a lighter color and gold underneath. 7 white crystals are placed along her tail, and she holds a pearl in her left hand. There are pearls placed in the scallops of the shell she sits upon, and the inside is a yellowish pearl color. The entire box is small, at only 3inches or so tall, but it is exquisitely detailed.
