Fictional character created by Carl Barks as a rival for Donald Duck. Donald's Cousin Gladstone is known as the World's Luckiest Duck. His unusual run of good luck causes those around him to feel especially unluckiy. This often results in feuding between Gladstone and Donald.

Gladstone's good luck holds out against everything and everyone with the exception of his Uncle Scrooge McDuck. For some frustrating reason, whenever Gladstone is in the company of his Uncle Scrooge, his uncanny good luck works to the benefit of making Scrooge more wealthy, often at Gladstone's expense.
It is said that this is caused by the fact that Scrooge's #1 dime holds more good luck powers than even the lucky Gladstone himself, though Scrooge activly denies that his coin holds any special powers, in spite of the fact that he well go no where without it.
