2012 Is Looking to Be the Year that Americans Finally Get Hit Hard by the Global Food Crisis

How can you know if and when the food prices in your grocery store will start to skyrocket? First off, you can look up how the world food supply is at an all time low, due to droughts around the world, and the economic uncertainty is complicating matters to create a Global Food Crisis.

For the first time since the 1970's, we are hearing serious concerns about being able to produce enough food for the entire world population, which has now hit 7 billion. This presents a very compelling case for more and more experts to predict Food Riots in America in 2012.

Global Demand & American Prices

The 3rd World DOES Impact the USA

The American people have never really know Food Riots or any major Food shortages but this will soon change. The global demand for food to feed the now 7 billion people, coupled with a weakening US dollar will mean a more even playing field for consumers to buy food. This will mean that America's ability to remain insulated from the global food crisis will begin to end very soon.

What NOT to Do To Prepare

Avoid These Mistakes At All Costs

global food crisis mre stockpileYou want to be prepared so your family is not bankrupted with high food prices, or worse, going hungry when food is unaffordable. "Just doing something" however, is not a plan.

1) Don't stock up on expensive Freeze Dried food. You might never eat it and it is too costly to buy enough to be adequately prepared.

2) Don't just go out and buy 100 cans of beans. It may seem like the "Rambo" survivalist thing to do, but your family will not want to eat beans, nor will they provide a balanced diet.

3) Don't buy Army MRE's and expect that you'll live off of them. Even if you can afford them (at $6-$7 per meal, that's like $20 per day), there are many outfits that are selling surplus MRE's that have sat in the scorching heat of Iraq or Afghanistan. The shelf life of these is no longer 10 years....
