Timeshare Truism
The timeshare industry began over 40 years ago when property developers created an innovative system to profit from properties that were over-developed. They decided to market these locations as luxurious vacation destination to inflate the perceived value and sell the properties multiple times.
The property developers typically used emotional triggers to convince their prospects as to why they should "own a vacation" and if that did not work, they would resort to hard selling techniques to pressure their prospects into buying.
Joe Ross a former Timeshare Sales Representative said, "Once you had a prospect admit that they liked vacations and they wanted to save money on vacations we had them hooked. We would easily be able to exaggerate the numbers and savings they would have if they decided to buy a timeshare. We billed it as a great investment, even though we all know that a timeshare loses about 80% of its value once you buy it, sort of like buying a new Mercedes and driving it off the lot".
I was a former Booking Agent for a property development company and I remember having to offer all kinds of perks to a prospect so that they would make the trip to the property to view a timeshare presentation. That was the "catch" even though I was trained to make is sound like a 90 minute, guided tour of the property.

Timeshares vs Global Resorts Network
Easy Choice Right?
When I take a timeshare and compare it to Global Resorts Network, I personally do not see how a timeshare can even compete with what Global Resorts Network offerings.
First of all, on average a timeshare will cost $16,000 with annual fees from $300 and upwards. This does not include money due if the property they purchased requires renovations.
With Global Resorts Network, the most you will pay to own a membership is $2,995 with absolutely no annual fees. This one time payment grants you access to over 5,000 resorts worldwide and if any of these properties need renovations, you need not to worry as timeshare owners will cover those cost.
Timeshare owners are typically limited to stay at only the property in which they purchased and are only permitted to stay 1 week out of they year. A friend of mine even told me that her & her husband can only go to there property every second year and if they decide not to go on their permitted year...too bad so sad, they have to wait until its their year again.
Yes, there are programs out there that will allow a timeshare owner to exchange their time for a different property or the points system that will allow them to buy time at other resorts. However it has been reported that exchanging your time is often difficult and costly.
Global Resort Network allows you to vacation every week of the year if you so desire. And with over 5,000 resorts to choose from, it is rare that GRN's customer service can not make your vacation desires a reality.
Owning a timeshare does not offer any added benefits when it comes to other travel needs. For instance, it is not uncommon for a Global Resorts Network membership owner to find discounts on cruises, hotels and even flights. If you have a specific travel desire, simply contact GRN's customer service and they will use their travel expertise to attempt to make your request possible; often saving you a considerable amount of money than if you went through a tradition travel agent or online booking agent such a expedia.com
Now you decided...would you rather have unlimited access to over 5,000 3,4 and 5 star resorts around the world from $298-$799 per week with 24/7 customer service to assist you whenever you need it. Or limited access to a resort that is continuously taking your money? Again you decide!
