From the lens Globes For Kids - Their Own Reviews.

Before you answer this question, bear in mind that there are now Globes for Kids that are designed for little ones. These ones focus just on the countries themselves, including fun facts about animals etc.

I think it depends on the individual child. The globes for little ones are fabulous, and if a child is ready and interested at 2 years old, that's great. If not, it's also okay to wait until he's older.

Well, my 10 month old would love the buttons and the spinning globe, my 3-year-old would probably learn things from it and enjoy it, my 5-year-old would enjoy it all day long, and my 10-year-old would love the facts..... so, ALL AGES!

I think age 4 would be a good year to start. Wow isn't that Hugg a Planet Globe cool. All of the new globes for kids are so wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I had no idea they had them.

Wonderful suggestions! I think I might still need a globe too since geography was also my worst subject :)

Some one year olds could handle it. My eldest daughter would have loved one.

Hi, I teach kids and I'd say that from age 5 children could have an interest in a globe if it was like a toy and colorful. From about age 6 I think most kids can start to learn about the world and geography. This is a great lens. It had never occured to me how much kids like globes! But it's true! When I was a kid I loved my globe and would look at it for hours on end.

Two years old is good. At this age the're already looking at pictures in books and globe is a more tactile object

Great lens! I need that Leapfrog globe for myself. I'm horrible at world geography (especially Africa). Sounds like it would be the perfect way to learn all kinds of great facts.

As early as you can, bear in mind that today kids can learn words with flash cards as early as they can sit up. I think Vtech Globes for kids are fabulous creations and I highly recommend, no parent will feel dissatisfied - check them out at www.toysandstuff.net

This is a totally cool lens. A globe is an excellent educational gift for a child. When my kids were young, once a week one child had the turn of picking a spot on the globe. I would cook something from that place and each night before bed we would take turns reading about it. The kids now have children of their own and have carried on this fun way of learning geography and tolerance for other cultures.

A well deserved thumbs up and I have lensrolled you to my Stephen Joseph kids lens.
