Today they are making plans to put wind turbines in the Great Lakes. It's still in the planning stage right now, but it is exciting.

Cleveland Going Green With Renewable Energy

Take for instance Cleveland Ohio, at this moment they are measuring ice flow and wind speed and other facts. The study alone is projected to cost 1 million dollars and take about a year, which ends in April 2009. If the city is willing to put up that kind of money to study wind power it must be worth it. In the near future when all the data is in, and if all goes according to plan, they will build wind turbines just off shore from Cleveland, in Lake Erie.

Los Angeles Going Green With Renewable Energy

Now take Los Angeles, their looking for a clean renewable energy so they look toward solar power. Just a few months ago the mayor propose his plan to have
10 % of the citys energy come from solar power by the year 2020.
Parts of his plan consist of help for low-income residents to put solar panels on their homes.
He also has plans to Install solar panels on schools and other municipal buildings.

New Jersey Going Green With Renewable Energy

In New Jersey they're looking for clean renewable energy. So the Public Service Electric and Gas Company are planning a 700 million or more project to put solar panels up on top of utility poles, municipal building, schools and low-income residents all over the city. They would first need state regulators approval before they get the go a head. But look what kind of money they are willing to invest in clean renewable energy.
