The GoDaddy.com web hosting service is one of the best prices on the web. This is because they get so much traffic that they can offer lower prices because they are utilizing their servers. It is a lot like when a company get a bulk order discount for purchasing a lot of an item. With GoDaddy.com's web hosting plans, they offer bulk discounts depending on how many months you sign up for. No matter what your website is, I would always recommend signing up for at least one year. New sites are so hard to get found within the first year so it is easy to get discouraged. Anyways, back to the plans. Here they are:

Economy - I would only recommend using the economy choice if you plan on building a small website, and don't mean to expand.

Deluxe - This option should be used for most websites. You can expand to a fairly large size, and it's still a really good price.

Unlimited - The Unlimited option should be reserved for sites with a lot of data, like movies or huge pictures.

Whatever plan you choose, GoDaddy is probably one of the cheaper places to get that deal.

This can be confusing for anyone whose website creation software doesn't include an FTP upload service in it. I use FileZilla to upload the websites I create. It's free and really easy to use. Some quick tips:

- Make sure you know your user id and password that you gave GoDaddy.com when you signed up. You will need this to access your FTP server.

- Your FTP server name is going to look like this ftp://www.mydomain.com

Using GoDaddy.com as to register your domain name is probably the smartest thing you can do. It is one of the cheapest prices on the net. For $10.69 you can get one year's worth of a .com domain name. Most people will want their website to be a .com therefore if you choose something else, like .net, it will be cheaper.
