Goal Setting Success Tips & Strategies
-- Procrastinate (putting the "pro" back in procrastination)
-- Doubt yourself or Fail while trying (I never fail to doubt I will fail!)
-- Feel awful when thinking about the steps you have to do (aka feeling like you're doing the Doo Doo 2-step)
-- Get exhausted trying and wish someone would just come rescue you ("HELzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzP!!!)
-- Get overwhelmed at what it takes to reach your goal (Unless of course your goal is to be overwhelmed!)
-- Get side-tracked and slowed-down by diversions, obstacles, and set-backs (I should probably get back to work...on those DONUTS!)
-- Try so hard that you wind up overworked and over-committed (Confucious say "Man who choose overwork should be committed.")
-- Arrive at your goal, only to realize it's not what you really wanted after all (Wait...so I lost 8 toes to frostbite just so I could say "Great view from Mt. Everest!?")
Here are How To's and proven, practical, advice, to avoid common goal-setting problems! Accomplish any dream you set out to achieve - in as little as 10-Minutes a day.
What Goal Do You Want?
How To Reach Any Goal in 3 Steps
An Excerpt from the 10-Minute Manifestor Program
Now, I have the fortune of living my "occu-passion" as a life coach, published author, and a successful workshop and teleclass leader. I love life. Now!
But before that, frankly I was miserable. Needless to say, I made some discoveries that saved my life. This particular discovery, the one that has helped me achieve literally all of my dreams, I call the "10-Minute Manifestor". Here's a 3-step snippet from it. I hope they'll motivate you so that you will DO the program and REACH your goals.
But more importantly, I get excited at the thought that you might read this article and get ideas that could catalyze your freedom and fulfillment!
How To Reach Any Goal In 3 Steps -
is as simple as this:
1. Set your bottom line about what you want. An effective bottom line has 3 parts - the measurable goal you want, the universal underlying needs that you're trying to meet by getting that goal, and a "pleasure picture" of what your life looks and feels like when you already have that goal accomplished. Ex: I want less overwhelm turns into "I want 1 more hour a day of free time at least 5 days a week", it feeds my underlying need for Care for myself and Integrity for me around living a life of balance..and when I already have 1 more hour a day free time I am more relaxed, I feel more fuelled, I notice I smile more here and I have more joy using that free time to do something I love...
2. Uncover the minimum necessary ingredients that will get you to your desired goal. By "ingredients" I mean this - What are the measurable, tangible things you need to get your hands on (both inside yourself and outside of yourself) that, once you have them, result inevitably in you having reached your goal? For the overwhelm example above, that might look like, "Internally, I need Trust that I can make 1 hour a day space for myself, and I need to schedule the hour each day, and I need consistency from me to keep that hour sacred... Externally, I need support from my spouse to honor my need for self-care when I ask for an hour not to be disturbed, and I need to hire cleaning staff to do the hour a day of cleaning that will take a bit off my hands and free up some of my time..."
3. Create at least 3 useful strategies to get each ingredient in your hand and DO ONE today. Each strategy you come up with for getting an ingredient should take only 10-minutes each. The idea is that if one strategy doesn't get you some or all of the ingredient, one of the other 2 will. So let's say we're thinking about getting the inner ingredient of "Trust that I can make time" for myself. I might pick these three strategies: a.) Each day I think of 2 situations where I *did* make time for myself, and was happy about it, b.) I ask a friend each day how *they* manage to trust it's ok to make time for themselves, and see which responses I can adopt, and c.) I ask myself to feel nervous and try the hour-for-me each day anyway, to see if I can build trust by just trying it.
These three steps, stated a little differently, look like this: bottom line, ingredients, strategies. That's it.
The trick is - it's not WHAT you do with these three steps, it's HOW you do them.
You know all the old failure stories - the dieter who gets "clear" about wanting to lose weight, then binges on ice cream...Or the New Year's resolution that's dead 2 months after it was born...or the "someday maybe" person who spends 10 years trying to get the same result, but never gets there.
Well I didn't want to be one of those statistics, and I don't want you to be one either. Look here or come opt-in for more free tips from the 10MinuteManifestor program.
You absolutely can escape your daily struggles, liberate yourself from the exhausting effort of trying to achieve goals, and transform your world, even repeatedly realize your dreams - for any dream you can imagine - in just 10-Minutes a day.

- You are doing a great job with this lens. I think most of us can relate to a lot of what you are talking about here.
Look forward to more - My page talks about depression, and certainly procrastination and complete loss of motivation are some of the problems sufferers experience!

- I like your idea of determining the minimum necessary ingredients. I think I'm often putting too much in the pie, or trying to make a pie, a casserole and a four course meal all at the same time!
