Introducing GotAccess and Web 3.0

What is GotAccess and Web 3.0 anyway?

That's a question that's being asked more and more often these days and it's this sites mission to answer both of them and keep you informed about the latest developments in this exciting new product and platform.

Web 2.0 may be getting all the attention now but according to Sean Roach (one of the internet's true visionaries) his new product GotAccess, one of the web's first Web 3.0 properties, will change all that very soon.

Web 3.0 is a term used to represent the next step in the evolution of the web and will define how people and businesses will interact online in the near future. While it may not totally replace web 2.0 it will certainly change the way people and businesses interact.

Web 3.0 will enable the business owner to figure out how their target market actually live their lives so they can position their business to suit that way of life and their needs and wants.

Web 3.0 will combine the powers of social networking, search engines, eCommerce and membership sites into one awesome platform that each member will control. No more push advertising, you pull in what you want when you want it.

To ignore or make light of web 3.0 could be one of the worst moves you could make in 2008 and beyond, so get ready, here it comes.

Web 3.0 Definitions

What does Wikipedia have to say?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Web 3.0 is a term used to describe the future of the World Wide Web. Following the introduction of the phrase "Web 2.0" as a description of the recent evolution of the Web, many technologists, journalists, and industry leaders have used the term "Web 3.0" to hypothesize about a future wave of Internet innovation.

Views on the next stage of the World Wide Web's evolution vary greatly. Some believe that emerging technologies such as the Semantic Web will transform the way the Web is used, and lead to new possibilities in artificial intelligence. Other visionaries suggest that increases in Internet connection speeds, modular web applications, or advances in computer graphics will play the key role in the evolution of the World Wide Web.

So What Exactly Is GotAccess?

and what will it do for me?

According to the page at: www.gotaccess.com it's "social technology" and as it says...We're not quite ready yet to publicly share it with just anyone!

The home page also implies that once GotAccess is launched and we have access to "social technology"
we'll be able to socialize online the way you do in the real world.

In any case it looks like we'll all have to wait a bit longer to find out any more as it is still in invitation only Beta testing.

+++++++++++++++++ 08/08/08 Update +++++++++++++++++

Some good news and some bad.

The good news is that I was just invited to join the beta testing team.

The bad new (at least for the time being) is that I had to agree not to discuss or disclose any information on the GotAccess platform.

I'm sure as time passes Sean and the GotAccess team will lift at least same of this restriction and when they do you guys and gals will be among the first to find out more, but for now I'll not be able to add any new info to this site.

+++++++++++++++++ 09/17/08 Update +++++++++++++++++

While I still can't reveal anything that I've learned inside GotAccess I can tell you that much more info about GotAccess is available at the GotAccess website. www.gotaccess.com

++++++++++++++++++ SUPER NEWS +++++++++++++++++++

I just came from the GotAccess home page after checking the link I just posted above (which I always do before publishing) and found the "Register For Free Account Button" was working.

So it appears that you'll be able to check out the free access for yourself now.

Once you're on the inside please look me up and ask for access to my network. My username is: Vic

I hope to see you on the inside soon.

Sean Roach Introduces GotAccess in San Francisco

My first encounter with Sean, GotAccess or Web 3.0 for that matter was at The World Internet Marketing Main Event in San Francisco in September of 2007.

Sean Roach is a very powerful speaker and I was impressed with his entire presentation, but it was his talk about Web 3.0 and his newest project GotAccess that really got my attention.

Since that time Sean has been promoting GotAccess at many other events around the world.

Rumor Has It That Yahoo Is Very Interested In Got Access

To the tune of $258 million

Could this be true? Did Yahoo actually offer Sean and his company $258 million for Got Access? And is it also true that Sean turned them down? If so what does that say about the potential of this new product?

Well that's a lot of questions and we're hoping to be able to deliver the answers to all of them very soon.

While We're Waiting

Let's check out a couple other Web 3.0 contenders

What's this a new kid on the block?

TokSee a new player in this field. While they may be new in the Web 3.0 arena they are certainly not new to the communications industry. Toksee a subsidiary of 10 year old Intelecom is poised to enter the world of web 3.0 this spring. Use this link to find out more about what TokSee is up to.

What's This Talk About Web 4.0 Already???

A future where "technology and human become one"

I'm not even sure that I understand Web 3.0 completely and here people are already talking about Web 4.0

A future where "technology and human become one"--the Web 4.0 era--is on the way, says TrendOne CEO.
