Dark Goblets, Dishes, and Decor

Create an elegant Gothic table setting with a little creativity and a few unique intricate pieces or a nice set of dark dishes. Gothic Dishes and dinnerware theme sets are hard to find unless you opt for plain black glass or ceramics.

Mixing and matching dinnerware such as plates, bowls, goblets, and serving trays is probably your best option, although you might be able to find a complete set of matching dishes if you opt for Ebay, antique shops, and yard sales...Here's are a few unique sets:

Black rose patterned dishes were available for a few years, and one of the easier sets to find if you search for vintage collections. I was lucky enough to have a neighbor sell hers at a yard sale, and scooped up the whole set for only a few dollars. :-)

Back, red, or purple glass dishes are a great choice for Gothic dinnerware, to add elegance to your dinner table setting.

Etched glass patterned dishes provide an antique style that compliments whatever Gothic accents you choose - ravens, roses, gargoyles, bats, etc. Besides, glass dishes look great under candlelight as well. ;-)

The staple to every elegant Gothic dinner table - goblets. Mine are etched dark red glass, but they just don't make dishes like they used to.

For a modern Goth look, choose solid or clear black glass goblets. Vintage-styled pewter Gothic goblets with dragons, roses, spiders, claws, and skulls are also available, but far more pricey.

Don't forget to dress your table with an appropriate tablecloth, runner, napkins, and napkin rings. You could choose plain black, but that's no fun. Find a creative pattern that enhances the rest of your collection for a dramatic impact...
