How does your Gothic garden grow?

From the lens Gothic Midnight Garden Design - Black Flowers, Plants and Gargoyles.

Do you have gargoyles and dragons keeping your garden, or little elves and gnomes hiding away? What types of plants do you include in your Gothic garden design?

I had never thought it a black garden, but as I am about to move house and finally will have a decent size of garden to play with, this is something I have to try. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Hi WebSpinstress,
I realy enjoyed this lense. You've inspired me to create a Gothic themed container garden for this Halloween. I'll have to gather the Gargoyles! :)

I grow whatever catches my eye, don't go for color or any other determining factor. Follow my heart is what I do most of the time. Nice collection of black flowers, thumbs up and lensrolled to my carnation lens.

This is a beautiful lens. I've seen gothic gardens in virtual worlds but hadn't thought about making a real one, even though I have a lens about black flowers. I've featured this on that lens.

I really like this idea. I like to create several small gardens along a garden path, each with its own specific theme. I think a gothic garden would be a fun one to add. The black flowers are so unusual Lensrolled to my Spooky Halloween Garden Creatures lens.

We planned out a Harry Potter kids' garden back when we read the first few books. I wonder if teens would find a Twilight type garden to be just as fun?

I would have never thought of this...awesome. Dig those black hollyhocks. I like the little bit of steampunk you got going on in your garden.

Oh I love this! I know a few people who would freak out about black flowers... Mmm, I'm tempted, very tempted.

How exotic. I'll lensroll to my Create a Moonlight Garden lens, though the idea there is to plant white, light reflecting flowers.

I cant imagine wanting to convert all of my garden into a gothic theme, but I can see how it would work in some of it. What a great idea :)

I've never been one for flowers, but WOW, I could be now! You have opened my eyes.

I love your selection of Black flowers and would love to try some of them in my garden. I'd also love a gargoyle or two. The only black flower i have is "bat plant" in a pot. Don't know it's proper name but the flower is kinda like a bat.

One word- AWESOME! Gargoyles a bit extreme for me (we've got a purple hedgehog, if that counts?) You are doing amazing job, Susan. Best wishes!

Wow. I didn't know there were so many different varieties of black flowers. They would look great in all kinds of gardens...and what contrast. Have a great summer! :)

I have some black lilies, dark ivy, hellebores digitalis and castor oil plant, (I think they are all poisonous) with some old chimney pots, an old milk can, a blue fairy (which is the header on my website), a small brass horse and carriage and a small knight in armour. Do I qualify?
I loved your plants and am lensrolling, starring and favoriting.
