Dark Flowers
Real, silk, or feather black roses - arrange a bouquet of dark flower varieties tied with ribbon & strands of beads for the perfect Gothic gift arrangement. Hang a variety of ornaments or one large hand decorated ball from the stems. For live plants, try Dracaena, Coleus, or Aloe in a terracotta pot that you can stencil or paint to taste. Pictures
Enlarge a few morbid scenes you've taken with your camera and frame. Create a collage of images and words you've cut out from newspapers and magazines. Decorate your frame by upholstering it in velvet, glue and glitter, paint pens, beads, etc.

It's hard to find decent bedding and pillows in the Gothic style. A lot of them are cute with Halloween fabric instead of intricate in design.

I have created these elegant pillows...only a few sets left though!

For an artist:
Canvas, brushes, sketch books, and and other applicable art supplies.

For a multi-crafter:
Basket full of silk black roses, ribbon, feathers, polymer clay, vintage styled pewter beads, black leather cording, yards of fabric, and/or crafting organizers.

For a writer:
A new journal and unique pen are always appreciated.

For someone that makes/modifies clothing:
Yards of fabric (such as velvet, brocades, black lace, tulle, or patterned with skulls, bats, etc.), sewing needles, a pattern that you know they don't have already, and accessories such as leather cording, braided or lace trims, and unique buttons.

Foil paper
Silver, red, green - they all look great with black accents. Try re-covering over the foil with lace to let the metallic color show through.

Fabric
Trim thick velvet to size and carefully use a hot glue gun to secure the edges. Or gather fabric to the top of the package and tie off with extra scraps. Create a tattered look with tulle around the bottom edge to look like a skirt when lifted off the ground.

Ribbon
You can find thick spools of velvet ribbon that are used to drape down the edges of a tree at a very low cost. Tie up your gifts with a very large bow on top, leaving plenty to fall over the sides. String together chunky beads with silver pendants in between. I recommend using very thick string. Someone will grab the package by the beaded garland and they will fly everywhere otherwise. Stock up on orange and black ribbon designs during Halloween to save for gifts throughout the year.

Other Objects
Bag, basket, lunchbox, purse, blanket, wooden box, birdcage, etc. Or add something personal to the top of your wrapped gift such as a fancy hat or handmade ornament.

Gruesome/Just Plain Weird
Cut out shapes of bones from different paper, or I use white crushed velvet because of the texture. Four large ones can be placed vertically in the center of each side, meeting at the top in place of ribbon. Red foil paper works very well for blood spatter; cut in dripping squiggle designs.

*To be sure to get noticed, glue little plastic eyes all over your package and it will even stare back. Plastic spiders and webbing are always a bold statement, but very time consuming so attempt at your own risk.

*For fun, you can glue a feather boa ALL over your gift and laugh when others are trying to dig through the feathers to find your gift.

*The most creative package I've ever seen had leather straps with eyelets and sharp silver spikes all over it. Could prove to be a dangerous option though. LOL
