Graduation cap diploma

In the town of Memphis, Tennessee, two boys were born, born to completely different families in completely different backgrounds. One from a very rich and well to do family in the upstate part of town with all the riches and luxuries one could wish for while the other was born to a very poor family in which the parents both worked overtime to make ends meet. The rich boys name was Robert while the younger boys name was Devon. They both went into pre-school, though due to the financial separation, they went to separate ones. They grew up and ended up together in the same high school.

Though Devon was tempted to do all the things the other kids in the suburbs were doing he resisted his temptation by watching his parents working hard to make an honest living so that they could feed him. Robert's life was well to do as he joined many clubs and recreation centers as he was rich. His father bought him a car for his sixteenth birthday and Robert was a very popular guy in high school. Devon saw his parents working hard and decided to study hard and repay them with good marks, graduation cap diploma and then a full scholarship to a college.

Robert on the other hand knew that his father would leave everything to him once he died and didn't work at all in his studies. In fact due to his financial stability and monetary power he started raising his voice against teachers and started becoming the bad boy of the school. He started taking drugs and due to his excessive money he started taking a lot of drugs, getting girls and fooling around on campus. One day his deal with a drug dealer went wrong and he got beaten up badly. Instead of dropping his drug habit he went and bought a gun to protect himself from future drug dealers.

This is all, while Devon studied diligently for his graduation cap diploma. He knew that he would be rewarded with an admission into a good college with a scholarship if he graduated with honors. He studied hard into the night preparing for tests and did his projects on time always. Total are for the coveted graduation cap diploma. While Robert wasted his time and did bad deeds Devon sowed seeds, seeds which would surely turn to fruit bearing trees later on in life. On the day of graduation Devon gave his letter of invitation to his parents with pride. He had accomplished what he had set out to do. He was an honors student and a top college had taken him with a full academic scholarship.

On the same day, just before hours the ceremony Robert has been gotten into a tussle with a dealer. Blinded by his rage he took out his gun and shot the dealer and ran away but the police soon caught him. While Devon's parents were watching their son in graduation cap diploma in hand with pride, Robert's parents hung their head in shame in the police station. This is a lesson out there to all parents. Rich or poor teach your kids to aim for the graduation cap diploma in life.
