Welcome to the Grand Canyon, South Rim!

When most people think of the Grand Canyon, they think of the South Rim.  We're the most accessible location at the canyon with services and lodging.  I've been living inside of the Grand Canyon National Park for just over 4 years.  It's an amazing place to live and work, and I'm frequently asked what it's like to live here.  This lens will give you that information, along with travel plans, ideas, hiking, and trail info.  Welcome to the Grand Canyon, South Rim!

Started on November 10, 2006 - Check back soon for more!  I'm just getting started.

I LOVE hiking in and around the South Rim....

Ribbon Falls - North Kaibab Trail

Ribbon Falls on the North Kabiab Trail...North of Phantom Ranch. My boyfriend worked and lived at Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Gorge for the first year and a half that we dated. I regularly hiked down on my weekends to see him and spend time in the canyon. My guesstimate is that I visited the Inner Gorge of the Canyon about 75 times over the last 3 years.

About Harmonychik

Hi there, My name's Lori Wisniewski, or Lori Wooo to those who know me well.  I live at the Grand Canyon and spend most of my time making arts and crafts, playing with my kitten Fizzgig, putzing on the computer, collecting tattoos and halloween, driving to and from Flagstaff to see my boyfriend, and eating way too much Special K cereal.  Check out my long list of lenses to find everything (well almost) that interests me from Dumpster Diving to Mickey Mouse, Michal Negrin Jewelry to Birthdays, and David Bowie to Day of the Dead, You'll even find an entire lens dedicated to things I like and why I like them!  Lucky  you!
