Welcome to Grangeville
Grangeville, Idaho is a small town that connects southern and northern Idaho. If you have ever driven from Boise to Coeur d'Alene (or vice versa), then you have most likely passed by this fascinating little town and not even realized what you missed. It is the seat of Idaho county, Idaho's largest county. As the largest city in the county at only about 3,000 people, Grangeville also has Idaho county's only stoplight, so don't blame us for our driving! Grangeville is right in the middle of a myriad of different recreational sites, such as the Clearwater River, Snake River, and Salmon River for whitewater rafting and some fishing, and the Nez Perce National Forest, the Gospel Hump Wilderness, and Hells Canyon for hiking and tons of hunting for deer, elk, bear, turkeys, and a few others. We also have our local ski hill, Snowhaven, for lots of winter fun! Basically, there is just a lot to do.

#1 Border Days. It's a large public celebration on the weekend of the 4th of July, marked by the local rodeo and parade, street games and art shows. Click Here.
#2 The Mammoth. A 1994 discovery of mammoth bones at our local Tolo Lake, and our replica in an exhibit in Grangeville. Click Here.
#3 Snowhaven. If you like skiing/snowboarding or tubing, this is the place to go! Two ski lifts serve over 40 acres, in which you can downhill ski or go it slower with cross-country trails. Click Here.
#4 The Fishing. If you like the outdoors and love to get out that fishing pole, there are plenty of places you can catch steelhead, salmon, trout, bass, kokanee, and dolly vardin in the surrounding area. You can even hook yourself a big 10 ft+ sturgeon in Hells Canyon. Click Here.
#5 Jet Boat Races. Usually in April, the jet boat races are held on the Salmon River near Grangeville, and are accompanied by a boat show, classic cars, good music, raffles, food vendors, and a BBQ before the races start. Click Here.

Stuff you might want to take with you!
Eurotrip: the movie itself has nothing to do with Grangeville, Idaho, but at the very end of the movie, when they're on the plane back to the USA, Cooper Harris sports a t-shirt that bears the words, "Where in the hell is Grangeville, Idaho?" on it.
