Teach your body to win.

Metabolism is the key to getting yourself the beach body you've always wanted. People are born with varying intensities of metabolism, but this doesn't mean it can't be changed with a bit of proper exercise and nutrition. Below are some tips to help you condition your body to burn calories, burn fat, and lose weight easier and faster.

This guide is a bit of reading, but I guarantee it will be beneficial for someone who is serious about getting the body they've always wanted.

For the people wanting more, this guide is really Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle in a nutshell, a very small nutshell. If you are interested in what I have said in this guide, you will benefit greatly from that book. The reason I wrote this guide was actually because I was so geeked about the results I was getting after reading BTF, FTM. So take it straight from my mouth (or keyboard), it definitely works.

The mistake that everyone makes.

Too many of us have the wrong idea.

DO NOT STOP EATING

The number one mistake that everyone makes follows this crazy notion that "If you stop eating, your body will lose weight quicker."

Technically, this is correct. But it never lasts. Most people hit the wall after about a week of crash dieting. Yes, you will lose weight, but you will feel exhausted and spent 24/7, and you will look physically repugnant. Drooping eyes and pale skin are not turn ons.

On top of looking like you have cancer, your body will bother you at every waking moment because it wants to eat. The professionals call this "starvation mode," and this is when your metabolism is the lowest. In starvation mode, your body will burn off MUSCLE FIRST. This means all those hours spent at the gym are completely wasted if you stop eating. Crash diets are a definite no-no. Finding the foods that speed metabolism is the key.

Food, food, and more food.

Give your body the fuel to work.

Yes, everyone dreads that ominous two-word phrase.

"eat right"

Like I said before, I learned everything I know now from the guidelines laid out in the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle system, it was the first book (e-book or other) that I had read in nearly 6 years. If you have any further queries, get that Ebook, it goes into tremendous detail.

Onto the questions.

How much time between meals?

Use your time wisely.

It takes 3 hours for food that you have eaten to be completely digested. The point is to keep food circulating through your body as often as possible. Doing the math, eating the optimum of 6 meals per day at 3 hour intervals will have you up around sunrise. Don't panic.

This may be the hardest hurdle to jump for most, but take my own testimonial to give you hope: In a short time, your body will adjust to your new routine, and soon, you will WANT to wake up at 6-7 A.M. to eat your daily breakfast. Waking up early gives a person a gratified feeling and is healthy for your mind as well as your body.

Learn to think positively:

"I have the entire day ahead of me, this is GREAT!"

In addition to having a lot more free time on your hands, your body realizes that you are helping it, and as your confidence skyrockets, so will your metabolism.

What foods should I eat?

Eat wisely to maximize results.

Filling up your car with premium gasoline makes for a longer lifespan and a smoother ride. This works exactly the same with our bodies, but for most people, you will spend less at the grocery store finding the foods that speed metabolism. When was the last time you heard of getting premium fuel for less?

Fruits and veggies are essential for healthy living and high metabolism. I came back from my first trip the store after starting my eating routine with a 5 pound bag of apples, 15 pound bag of potatoes, 15 bananas, vine of grapes, and other assorted goods, and I had only spent 16 dollars!

That 15 pound bag of potatoes cost as much as a large bag of Doritos!

You should have seen the look on my face.

I digress. Some foods for thought that I haven't already mentioned include oatmeal, whole grain cereals, sweet potatoes, brown rice, and fish.

If you have a shred of common sense, you likely already know around half the foods you should avoid:
-Ice creams, white sugar, soda pops, tortilla chips, cookies, and all fast foods.

But there are some foods out there that you may think are healthy, but actually aren't, like hotdogs, white bread, bacon, sausage, and many types of cereals.

Choose your cereals wisely, they are not all good! Keep the sugar down!

An incredibly helpful guide to use in conjunction with your new eating routine can be found with the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle system. Within are 3 perfect guides showing you:

A. The foods that burn fat when digested.
B. The foods that become fat when digested.
C. A comprehensive list of foods all graded on an A-F scale.

You will learn quickly that eating healthy won't compromise your taste buds. You may even discover that there are foods out there you've never tried that are effortless to eat and will supercharge your fat-burning metabolism.

I had never tried sweet potatoes before reading Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, hell, I didn't even know they were good for you. Guess what, they taste great, and are packed with Vitamin A. I know I sound like a broken record, but you should have seen the look on my face.

Calories, keep track.

Become a "numbers" person.

Some simple 2nd grade math can be applied to figure out how many calories you want to take in with your newly established "6 meals a day" routine. The per-day average for men being around 2500, and for women, 2000. Split these calories into your meals as evenly as possible. If you want to eat more in one of the meals and less in another, it is suggested that you eat higher calories during your early morning meals, and less calories late at night.

If you need any other calorie questions, or if you just want to fine tune your eating regimen to get quicker results, and go in depth (and I do mean in friggin depth) with your calorie math, the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle system is certainly for you, you are given an entire chapter based on how calories work, and a formula (or four) to optimize how many calories you should be consuming in order to lose the fat and increase your BMR (i.e. metabolism) the most effectively. You will learn everything you need to know (and then some) in order to make your body a well-oiled calorie burning machine.

The best thing about increasing your metabolism is that after time, you will actually be able to eat more food, because your body will burn off the calories quicker. In essence, you get rewarded for eating right. It's a wonderful feeling.

Exercise

Eating right is only half the battle.

You don't burn those calories by sitting around all day. Pick a time during the day do go outside and run. Failing that, a treadmill is just as effective.

A 20 minute jog on a treadmill will burn you about 200 calories. To burn fat quickly and efficiently, it is most healthy to burn around 500 more calories than you consume on a daily basis. Try to monitor your activity to fit to this routine, just like you have with your diet. It shouldn't all be hardcore exercise over a 2 hour period. Keep yourself active. Keep your heart beating. Waking up early helps, this is another reason that this system works so well.

Treadmills and exercise bikes will run you through a bit of money, but it allows you to just work instead of thinking, because these machines now have calorie counters to show you how many you have burned.

If you were to purchase an indoor bike, and you are committed, take my advice and don't go cheap. Any 50 dollar bike out there will break within 2 weeks of you using it, likely less time if you use it vigorously like I did (I had to assemble those damn things too, so much time wasted). For as much work as you plan on doing, you need a quality piece of equipment that can take all the punishment you give it, and go for the long haul.

Remember, it is impossible to maximize your metabolism and burn all that ugly fat in just a week's time. Any other program out there that says otherwise is lying. A committed and positive attitude is the key to getting results.

Much of what I have learned, and in turn, taught in this guide has been taken from the very popular Ebook Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. This book gives you the down to earth, realistic ways to go about your eating and exercise routines, and will show you the foods that speed metabolism. It can be used by a novice just trying to lose a few pounds of fat, or an experienced bodybuilder trying to cut that last 2% of extra body fat off their body. It is written with the reader in mind, and is actually quite interesting if you are willing to listen to the methods of a true expert that knows how to shapeshift any body. It was one of the most intelligent purchases I had ever made, and this is coming from someone who said they would never purchase a book in their lifetime!
