Looking for free photo images to use as computer screen backgrounds, myspace backgrounds, background images for powerpoint slides, even wallpaper background for your e-mails? Well, a few months ago we needed those types of photos ourselves, so we went surfing for them.
We looked at a lot of the free background websites, but we were disappointed with the content and the quality of the images available. So we decided to put together GreatWebLayouts.com with lots of high def backgrounds that you won't see anywhere else. Like this photo of the Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps. At GreatWebLayouts.com we purposefully stayed away from photos of singers and actors. We present instead captivating images of Nature, Antarctica, Military planes and ships, and even satellite photos of your home state in various resolutions. Top photo to the right is Mount Vernon, the 18th century home of George and Martha Washington. Photo below is a doll house size replica which is displayed at the Ford Orientation Center at the Mount Vernon estate.
We have done a full web page of photos that we took such as Geo. Washington's study where he did his ledgers and deep thinking about his farm and what being the First President of the United States was all about.
During a tour of the actual mansion house we couldn't even see the beautiful woodwork of the study's fireplace because we were peeking in through a doorway which is in the upper right corner of the photo.

I really like the contast of the stormy sky with the weathered condition of this barn and the drought-burnt yellow grasses.

Within minutes we were driving in a whiteout, sorely missing the balmy spring beauty of Washington, DC that we had just flown away from a few hours before.

Frying Pan Park
Looking for a place to let the kids run around and play after you visit the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum?
Frying Pan Park is located in Fairfax County, Virginia on West Ox Road in Herndon, Virginia.
The park has 107-acres (lots of walking trails) and presents a 1930 operating farm, community center, equine facilities, country store, farmer's market and miles of walking trails. Admission and parking are free, there are large areas to roam along with numerous farm buildings that house aged farm equipment, a cider mill, a blacksmith shop, and farm animals. The park's equine facilities offer an indoor activity center, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and an equestrian trail with lots of cross-country jumps.

Maybe the photo image of your new puppies needs a background added to make the image wide enough to cover your whole computer screen.
Or have you seen a free image out on the web like this blue one in the middle below and it isn't quite wide enough for your screen? Note for the rightmost blue photo below I widened the image and changed the background somewhat.
