The Eco-Button
Ideal for those not willing or able to upgrade to a new pc, but still keen to save money and cut carbon emissions.This fairly simple and cheap device relies on a little bit of software and a small button attached by cable to a USB port on your PC. When pressed, this quickly sends your pc into a deep-sleep mode, much faster than any other method of sending it into standby. Whilst using less power than it would on standby it is also instantly restores at a touch of of your keyboard, the computer instantly returns to where you left off and displays a splash screen showing savings of both money and carbon.
