The Sun

The sun is shining all around me
See the beauty that it brings
It adds a sparkle to the water
It makes the birds want to sing

See the fragrant flowers blooming
The trees are standing tall and green
The grass is growing oh so lovely
The sun gives life to everything

By making good choices and changing some habits you can save on your energy bill and put some money back in your pocket!

- Remember to turn off lights when you leave a room ( remind your children to do this too) Compact fluorescent lightbulbs use 60 percent less energy per bulb.

- Turn down your heat - even a couple of degrees can save you heating costs! You can always through on an extra layer of clothing!

- If you can switch to a laptop computer instead of a desktop, this can save you a bundle on your electric bill.

- For your laundry switch to cold water washing - if you have access to a line dryer, hang your clothes to dry.

- walk to places that are close by, use public transportation when you can, or carpool with a neighbour. This can save you money and help preserve the environment!
