St. Patrick's Day is full of all things green - everything from wearing green clothing & accessories to cooking green-colored or Irish inspired recipes, creating fun St. Patrick's Day crafts, and displaying your shamrocks and Irish blessings around your home. It's celebrated annually on March 17th in honor of the patron saints of Ireland.

St Patrick's Day is a great opportunity to share the luck and spread around the green food and drinks with your friends and family, especially if you love the extra chance in the year to throw a very festive party with ideas that are fun for all ages...well, before the rounds of Guinness start getting passed around.

Lucky Sandwiches
Green spinach tortilla wraps filled with lettuce, avocados, chopped green peppers, cucumbers, etc. Use guacamole or green dyed cream cheese as the spread.

Lucky Coins
Sliced green coins made from grapes and kiwis, mixed with "gold" coins cut from full circular orange slices and pineapple rings. You can dye a fruit and yogurt dip green with food coloring.
St. Patrick's Day Green Salad

Green Drinks

Shake Up Your St. Patty's Day

Shamrock Shake
Blend together green mint ice cream and milk. Use a fun shamrock stirrer as a garnish to make the kids feel special. :-)

Lime Sherbet Punch
Scoop 1 qt of lime sherbet into your punch bowl. Add 1 liter of ginger ale, and a medium-sized can of pineapple juice. Garnish with lime slices and cherries.

Green Floats
Can be served as punch or single glasses - simply pour 7-up or Sprite over lime sherbet.

Everybody's Irish
1 oz Green Creme de Menthe
1oz Green Chartreuse
2 oz. Irish Rye/Whiskey
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine all ingredients and stir well. Strain into cocktail glass.

Baileys McShake Recipe
4 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
4 oz milk
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
chocolate syrup
Combine all ingredients in a blender, adding chocolate syrup to taste. Blend until desired thickness.
