Greenman Asks "Do You Know What It Means To Be Green?"
Going green means to be careful about what we put in our environment, in our landfills and what we put on and in our bodies. It means to be Earth Friendly. GreenMan represents our earth. I hope to give you many ideas and tips on how you can be more Environmentally friendly. A very good place to start is in our homes by changing light bulbs, buying Environmentally friendly clothing like chemical-free cottons, remember the 3 "R's" Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, buying environmentally friendly products for cleaning our home, Green is not just a color any more, It's a life style. When you go to any store instead of letting them place your items in their plastic bags, take your own cloth bags or tell the clerk that you don't need a bag. Research and find companies that not only sell green products but the company itself is Environmentally friendly. You can get a lot of ideas on going green by watching TV and surfing the internet, Once you get the hang of it, Going Green gets very easy. You will start finding more and more ways to help our planet heal. And it is important to say that going green also means greening up you body. The lotions, anti-aging creams, soaps and make-up, hair products, vitamins, everything that you can think of that you put on and in your body, can harm you. But there are products that won't harm you and they work. But again you need to look for them and read the labels.
It is exciting to see that most everyone now is getting on the bandwagon and teaching people how to go green. And a lot of the big companies are too, Did you know that the White House is also going green?
Lets all work together today and we will have a better place to live and cleaner air to breath tomorrow!

A Few Ideas To Help You Be Earth Friendly And To Go Green
Starting at home is the best place
The best place to start of coarse is at home. You have all heard about changing your light bulbs, which is a very good way to start. Just be careful with them as they do have mercury in them, Read the package they come in!How about unplugging anything that is not in use, like the toaster oven or the coffee pot, the can opener, the blow dryer for your hair. I bet if you give it some thought you can find a lot of things that you can unplug.
Turn out the light when you leave a room or during the day if the room is light enough don't even turn the light on, Turn off the ceiling fans when your not home.
When you are cleaning you home, do you buy products that are biodegradable? First let me ask you, did you know that when you use products in the stores like the laundry detergents, hand and body soaps, shampoos, shaving creams, dish washing detergents, car washing detergents and a whole lot more, they all go down the drain with the water and they are harmful to our oceans and drinking water, even when our water is treated, the water plants have to use chemicals to clean the water! So why use these things that are going to cause so much more harm?
Just be more cautious about what your buying, it only takes a minute to look at the label to see exactly what it is your really buying. If the product says anything about "Can be harmful if" You might want to think about it, If the label has words that you have no idea what it is, put it back on the shelf and look for a product that is more earth frindly.
Ok What are earth friendly green products? They are products that are plant based, vegetable based and they will say somewhere on the label that they are biodegradable, environmentally safe and more than likely the bottle will be recyclable as well.
Don't buy so many paper towels, start using an old rags to dust with and speaking of dusting, Did you know that you can use nothing but water to dust with? "You don't put water on you furniture" spray it on your rag lightly then dust. If you have an old shirt that is cotton and your not wearing it any more, rip it up and make your rags.
All it takes to start going green is to be careful about what your buying and being a little more cautious, give it some thought.
If where you shop doesn't have environmentally safe (Eco friendly) products, you can ask them to start carrying them or you can find them online.

Reading Labels,
Do You Read The Labels On Your Cleaning Products?
When you buy cleaning products, take the time to read the labels to see what are in the ingredients, the stuff (chemicals) that your breathing when you use it? Don't think that it's such a small thing that it possibly couldn't hurt. You may not think your using a lot but any cleaning products that you buy at the store has chemicals and when you are using that product you harming the air in your home, so not only are you breathing it, your family is too. The air in you home can be worst than the air outside, Going green is all part of not only cleaning our landfills but it also means we have to clean up the air we are breathing in our homes. Scientist are starting to see if there is another planet out there that could be livable because they know what harm we are doing to this planet! I'm sorry but I don't want to live on another planet, I love this one and I don't want my grand kids or their kids to have to live on another planet because we have messed this one up so bad. So many people don't care if our planet becomes so unbreathable and so full of toxins that they can't eat the food here or even a little thing like breath the air. It is scary for me to think that there are so many women now that are pregnant, what is our planet going to be like when those children grow up? We have to start now doing our part in taking better care of our Mother Earth. Read those labels and if they have words in the ingredients that you can't pronounce, or there is a warning " Don't Not Inhale" please don't buy that product, look for something that is plant or vegetable based. They all work good, you just might have to put a little be more elbow grease into it but this is the price we pay for all those years of letting these company help us to become a modern family. So we not a slave in homes because of house work. and it is our fault that we now have this SUPER-bug that antibiotic's can't cure, We do not need all the anti this and anti that, people, We just need to take a little time and clean the old fashion way and if you can't find a product at the store, go with home made. There is a lot of information on the net today where you can find how to make non harmful non toxic cleaning products from items right off your shelf at home. We should all learn how to make these things any way, Our ancestors did so why can't we? And while your reading the labels, look on that product to see if it's recyclable and biodegradable. My Blue-Black Board

Green Beauty
Beauty Comes From The Inside With The Proper "Green" Nutrition
Ok let's face it, If we don't take care of ourselves, how on Mother Earth will we be able to take care of... well Mother Earth? Eating proper and taking the proper vitamins to help you stay strong and healthy which is essential for you and your family. There is loads of information on ways to better your health, But again I have to ask you, when you buy those products to better your health, Do You Read The Labels?
Please make sure you do, So many of those products have perservatives, artificial flavoring, coloring and other artificial ingredients, it's a wonder that they have room for any real vitaimins in them at all.
I take vitamins from Shaklee but it's up to you and what you feel good with and now days, what you can afford, just make sure you read those labels!
Once you get your mind and body in balance, it's like a whole new you, you feel better, look better, you know you can do anything because your healthy.
Are you asking yourself if Shaklee vitamins are that much different than the vitamins that you can buy at your health food store or even the ones at the grocery store? Well, I think so, I have done a lot of research on vitamins and for me the Shaklee vitamins work great and I feel good about taking them because I know that are all natural and organic and Shaklee does over 80,000 quality test annually to guarantee the purity and safty of each product.
Now with all that said, what about Water? Water is also a big part of nutrition, It keeps you hydrated but be careful, water that comes from tap and is not filtered could be harmful, It depends on what part of the country your in. In some parts of the country the water is worst than others. So what do you do, you can buy bottled water, but that means your using plactics that harm our planet and even some bottle water isn't that good because you don't really know how long it has been sitting around and it could have bacteria growing in it that you can't see. My husband and I bought a filtered water system that you put under the sink, the one we bought is also from Skalee but there are a lot of system out there you can buy, just make sure you do your homework on the filter and get the one that is best for you and your family, then if you want a bottle to take out walking with you find a bottle that is made from recycled plastics and can also be recycled again.
Along with your vitamins and your drinking water you must maintian a good balance of food, veggies, meat, fish and breads just to name a few, I am sure you don't need me to mention all of them, but along with all that you have to watch you sugar and salt intake. It is a lot to watch for in our food, that's why we take vitamins and drink plenty of water to make sure if we do miss anything, it is taken care of through our supplements.
The point I am trying to make here is that when your are watching your health, try to go with products that are organicand natural. Read the labels and make sure that what ever it is your buying, really is good for you and does not have all that extra crap in it.
