When the Winter gets too cold, and the summer gets too humid there is only one place I want to be ... Grenada.
With more than 45 beaches to swim, snorkel, ski, sail, and satisfy your soul, Grenada is my ultimate Caribbean vacation getaway.
Welcome dear reader:
This lens is for someone who's thinking of a vacation to a warm tropical destination like Grenada in the Caribbean, and want to get a sneak peak at what to expect, and how to plan their most fun-filled vacation yet.
If you are tired of irritating alarm clocks ... if rush hour traffic got you stressed out... if you need a break from scrambling to get the kids off on time ... if you hate the lousy weather ... Or if you just feel drained from too many deadlines, and meetings ... You've come to the right place.
A Grenada vacation is the only therapy you need ... it will put the spice back in your life. Grenada is a different vacation paradise ... it's not commercialized like Cancun with tonnes of tourist, and high rise hotels. And it's not primitive like the castaway island on Gilligan's Island.
Instead Grenada offers an ideal mix of the morden conveniences you've come to expect on a vacation, coupled with the true island package - sandy beaches to swim; waterfalls and lakes visit; rainforest to hike; more beaches to swim and relax; delicious food to eat; and some of the warmest, friendliest people you can meet anywhere.
I now live just outside Washington DC in the USA, but lived the first 21 years of my life in Grenada. My Mom is retired there, and I have many many friends living there.
I recently started the Grenada Beaches website to help expats, and tourist benefit from the many things Grenada has to offer. See the Ready Set Go section below.

You Gotta Eat
My Favorite Grenada Restaurants
- Great Eats - Grenada Restaurants
- I've always heard tales about sailors reporting the auroma of fresh spices while sailing off the coast of Grenada. But I've never had the pleasure of meeting anyone who can confirm such reports ... not until I met a gentleman in Northern Virginia in the USA. He swears that while sailing off the west coast of the island, that he too fell victim to the sensational auroma of spices that is uniquely Grenadian.
So I guess the legend must be true
What does spices have to do with great places to eat you ask? Well Grenadians believe that the secret to delicious cooking lies in the seasoning ... and the key to fantastic seasoning is the proper combination of Greanada spices.
The cooks at these Grenada restaurants know their spices, and serve up some of the most mouth watering dishes on the island ...
