I bet you love orchids as much as I do.....

Well, I discovered the secrets to growing beautiful orchids almost anywhere. With the orchid growing education I am about to reveal, you be able to grow orchids that will have you the envy of the neighborhood.

Orchid Are Easy To Grow...

Trust me. Just follow my guide...

Welcome to the adventure into orchids, an experience you are invited to share.
The superstitions and legends about orchids have scared many gardeners away from them and have made orchid culture seem an impossible dream for amateurs. But in recent years study and experiment have shown that orchids are an integral part of the plant world, amenable to home and garden culture just as any other plant.

Ever wondered how to select orchids..

Here's a guide.

  1. This knowledge will be invaluable to you in selecting orchids to grow. One genus may do best in full sun, another in semishade, a third might require heat, and a fourth may need a cold spell. Such variations make it foolhardy to try to grow orchids together whose cultural requirements are opposed.

There are many, many more, but these few comprise the loveliest orchids which in the last 200 years have proved consistently popular and of which the culture is exactly known. Most of these genera are reasonably hardy; you can bat them around a bit without injuring them. However, several are rather exacting and may have to be babied. So, before you dip into the following chapters, here are a few guides to keep in mind as you read. They will help you pick out orchids that will be companionable.

You know the limitations of your garden or home; se-lect orchids that will be patient with those limitations. Limit yourself to one genus, or two at the most, if their culture is similar. Stay away from difficult orchids until your apprenticeship is over. Generally pick out species and primary hybrids; they bloom at definite specified times and their culture follows the rules. Their price is not so high. It is best to learn how to grow orchids by starting with the easy ones-usually the cool orchids or the terres¬trials. Make haste slowly, buy few plants at a time, and temporarily stay away from imports. Then, as you get the feel and the know-how after a season or two, branch out to the more exacting orchids. After all, you can't become an expert in any occupation without first learning the ropes as a beginner.

Not the least of your worries in choosing orchids-but one of the most important is the selection of orchid growers. Buy plants only from reputable growers. In re-cent years organizations have been formed for the purpose of buying misused orchid collections, offering them un¬named and "as is" at greatly reduced prices. You may get a bargain, but you are as likely to be fooled. Established orchid nurseries publish catalogues of their stock, many of them amply illustrated with colored photographs, which contain unequivocal descriptions of the plants that are offered. The first requisite is to purchase healthy, well-grown plants. Don't accept plants in which the leading bulb is much smaller than the back bulbs. Be certain that your plants have living roots. If you choose adult plants check them to be sure that they have bloomed. Don't keep infested plants, and do not reorder from any individual who has sent you such plants. Not to be able to recognize and check infested stock promptly opens your whole collection to ruin.
