The simple version of how Guess Now works.
Each question has a different point value and the sooner you answer a question the better. For example, predicting who will win the Superbowl in 2008 right now will earn more points than predicting who will win the Superbowl the day before the game happens.
At the end of every month, the prize pool is divided up among all participants and everyone is paid to their account. Once you have earned $25 you can request a payout through Paypal.
Good things about Guess Now
1. They are now paying out a portion of the points that your referrals earn.
2. You get 50 points once a day, just for logging in.
3. Points earned are posted promptly after the answer is discovered.

Fetching RSS feed... please stand bySome things that could be done better
1. There is no way to see how many referrals you have.
2. It would be nice if there was a filter for seeing which answers were correct or even which questions have an answer posted already. Right now you have to scroll through the whole list of questions answered for a certain month. I only had about 40 questions answered in September of 2007, but I'd hate to have to look through more than 2 pages of questions that I've answered.
I see they just added a better filter, it appears that this is taken care of.
3. - Another irritation, every time you answer a question for bonus points you have to click back on the "My Account" button which forces you to go through the special offers page again. If I have turned these down when I logged in, you're not going to get me to sign up the second or third time around. These signups are powered by Coolsavings.com and if you click yes to one you will be constantly receiving emails and you'll end up in an endless chain of signup offers. Take me advice, just stay away unless you are extremely interested in one of the offers.
I thought that Guess Now had corrected this the other day when I saw a "Skip" button at the bottom of the page, but I had to go through three more pages of hitting the "skip" button before getting to my account. As of 11/1/07, I think this has been fixed. I was able to immediately go to my account today without going through the offers page.
Overall, I still like the site and use it, I just wish some of these irritants would be fixed.
4. I just found another irritation with this site. You cannot logout unless you are on the "My Account" page. You can't get to the "My Account" page without going through all of the signup offers again. Hopefully they fix this soon.

At first I thought guessnow was a fun little site to waste time on like Moola. Guessing on questions to earn points and at the end of the month you find out how much money you made. Well with many hours invested and many months time I finally got over $10.00. Because I couldn't cash out until I was at $25.00 I knew it would be quite sometime before I would be cashing out. Then one day I logged on near the start of April to see how much I earned in March. My account balance was down to $5.00 and I didn't understand why. I then found out that they had decided to start charging monthly fees to play on the site. I was a little annoyed and upset and wanted to check the community forum. But, guess what? (pun intended)It has been down for over a week. WEIRD! So needless to say this has turned into a huge waste of time because I will never earn the monthly fee in a month. If you want fun please join Moola.

My other lenses about making a little extra cash.
- Get Paid to Shop Online
- Do you shop a lot on line? What about eBay? Big Crumbs will pay you cash back rewards for your online purchases.
