Brave Heart Outpost, Inc. is a non-profit organization launching from the Birmingham, AL Metropolitan area. We originate from a band of believers centered on redemptive faith community with God and each other. We operate from fresh & renewed heart-based faith lifestyle and initiatives. Our desires & passions are the result of God's Spirit awakening us to the mission He has for such a time & place as this through active and intentional 'redemptive community'. Therefore, Brave Heart Outpost seeks to boldly advance the Gospel's invitation to the recovery and restoration of all that has been lost in the hearts of men and women. In order to achieve this goal BHOP seeks to rescue & develop new & brave hearts through retreats, redemptive community gatherings, & new outlets where doors open from businesses, churches, to prisons. We will take this mission to just one person or an entire group of people plus come along side churches and church staffs to facilitate and teach redemptive community. We earnestly pray for an army of financial donors to enable BHOP to offer this ministry to any person, group, or organization even regardless of their financial ability to pay for services. As the redemptive community grows we have further plans of establishing a retreat center as a base of operations to further the outreach. We are located in Alabaster, AL. Brave Heart Outpost is an IRS approved 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible. One fiscal responsibility goal we desire is joining the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, www.ecfa.org, once sustainable financial viability is reached. ...to build a true redemptive community of rescued and restored hearts!

As Rhonda and I pursue our calling what we desire in our hearts is to begin building a redemptive community with the local and regional relationships that are presently walking this journey together. To strengthen those relationships through the life of this "shared enterprise" and then invite more into this way of life both locally and globally through a local redemptive community and global community through our ability to be physically present where and when it allows and continuous global presence through technology tools that enable us to facilitate such a community beyond our physical borders of time and space. All to be done to rescue or help men, women, and families get their hearts back and advance the Kingdom of God. Then to empower those rescued hearts to know the deep restoration of their true calling or glory.

We plan do to this with a local band of believers gathering together to share our journeys in many formats, including home gatherings & activities & local camps/conferences, regional summits, and a virtual redemptive community connected through the use of cyber space tools. We want to birth this as a small band and then learn to crawl, walk, and take off and run with it and see where the Wild Goose (Celtic Christian reference to the Holy Spirit) takes us. We are looking to begin after the 2008 holiday season with the beginning of 2009 with some gatherings in our home and start from this hub modeling it after the small band of hearts reflecting such a redemptive community of the rescued and restored as expressed in Psalm 107 and in the small band of believers in Ephesus of Acts 19. Our Identity

This redemptive community is not your typical mode of church life. Thank God! The last thing beleivers need is another place to go to hear that they are blowing it and that they just need to 'try harder' or 'get their act together'. We need to find life, adventure, beauty, and the passion and courage to live from our hearts. We need to unite with a band of believers to fight with us...and for us. Brave Heart Outpost provides such a place for this type of redemptive heart community.

We're breathing, but we're not truly alive. We wonder if there isn't more to life than going to work, struggling to pay the bills, keeping the kids in line, and living for the weekend. If we are going to know who we truly are and what we are created for, then we must take a journey with God into the wilderness to discover our true heart.

The path of the seeking and rescuing all that has been lost in the human heart is a different path. Therefore we have chosen images that represent that path of life for us. We believe there has to be the intentional pulling away from much of what robs us of our heart and its desires and focus on the calling of the Wild Goose that beckons us back into so much that has haunted us all of our lives. Once we do, what we experience in those wilderness places and what emerges makes us come alive and causes the world to come alive, because what the world needs is men and women who are fully alive. As a different kind of redemptive faith community we are designing an expedition of the heart that will start you on a journey of freedom and life that you desperately desire deep. A heart expedition that will lead you to the truth and will launch your heart into a journey that will never be the same.

    U bet Jim, maybe we can hook up on person some time down the road. I've done a bunch of boot camps, advances, and work crews with Ransomed Heart. Got real close to those guys and left the traditional pastorate to chart a new path of redemptive community. Just really getting that launched. Thanks for the connection and stay in touch!
