use your common sense! If you didn't enter a lottery ie buy a ticket up front, you can't possibly win it.
REMEMBER no legitimate lottery will ask you for any money in order for you to receive winnings.
If in doubt check with the official operators (all of them have warnings about this scam on their sites.
If you have received an email, text, letter or phone call that you believe to be bogus, delete it, throw it away or put the phone down. DO NOT reply in any shape or form. This will only confirm your details and leave you open to further targeting and harassment. DO NOT be tempted to bank any monies that may have been sent as upfront payment. You will be liable.

The objectives of this alliance are:

%u2022 Compile and analyze information on the draft of fraud and duration of the lottery.
%u2022 Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the lottery scams on the Internet since the allegations sent by the victims.
%u2022 Gather copies of the reports, analysis and initial investigations to identify patterns and trends, such as evidence linking various campaigns of fraud in the lottery on the same person or same group of people. The information will be analyzed and sent to the competent law enforcement authorities, which shall be to determine what the next legal steps.
%u2022 Using intelligence information to investigate the criminals related to the scam with a desire to be able to carry out legal action against them.
%u2022 Cooperate with international security agencies to ensure that the intelligence information that is compiled from an analysis of lottery fraud reaches the hands of security agencies in the country.
Until now, limited resources, the difficulty arising from having to compile and link information from victims around the world and the complications arising from the involvement of multiple jurisdictions has been an obstacle to carrying out the actual legal action necessary against the perpetrators fraud on the lottery.
