Have you ever had a computer crash? Drop your laptop on the floor and see it shatter? A fire? A flood? A theft? All of these things can wipe out years worth of your digital memories and records.

Think of the number of digital photos you have stored on your computer. The number of emails, the iTunes library you've built up

HP Upline is the newest and easiest to use online backup tool you'll find.

Why HP Upline instead of another backup service?

So many choices! Why Upline?

Now that I've convinced you that backing up your data is vital, the question becomes "why HP Upline?". The answer is a simple one.

First, HP is one of the biggest names in computers. They've been in the business for as long as the business has existed. HP employees the smartest engineers and programmers to create the tools. They have recently deployed three of the most high tech data centers in the world, with world class servers and people. You're data is in safe hands.

Second, online backups are the easiest and most efficient way of keeping personal computer backups. Offsite backups are a must if you want to protect yourself from fire, burglary, flood and other natural disasters. A regular backup (on an external hard drive for instance) is no good if it disappears at the same time the original data is.

And third, HP Upline buys you ease of mind. You know your data is secure, safe, and reliable. No more fear that you'll lose everything. Think of it as insurance for your computer.

goorsha, when doing the research for this lens, I did see a negative review or two.

I also have personally worked at HP. Like any big company it has its ups and downs, but I know that some of the smartest people I've ever met were engineers at HP. In addition, they have recently finished their move to brand new high end data centers.

All of the negative reviews I found were from April - May period, and then the negative reactions fall off.

I can't guarentee that it'll be perfect for everybody, but give it a shot. They offer a free trial (with limited storage). See if you like it. It's important that everybody back up their data, I've helped people frantically try to pull data off of an almost dead computer, and it's never a pleasant experience.
